Hi guys, I'm constantly looking for an improvement in the set-up of my ram 1500 laramie 2016 and as a first purchase I bought a complete set of bilstein 5100 front and rear in Italy.
I used the stock springs and eliminated the rough country kit which it compressed the springs and the rear spacers
I've done about 200km with the front bilstein on 0.7" and I'm not at all happy with the ride quality .
I'm not noticing any improvement over the stock shocks I had with the 2.5" front 1.7" rear rough country lift kit.
I'm talking to Nick for a quote on eibach products but I don't want to replace again all shocks because eibach on stage 1 use the same system to adjust height and i don't think they are to much better than bilstein 5100 in terms of quality .
But after reading many posts here on the forum, I may have understood that the real difference still on the eibach springs kit which can also be installed with front and rear bilstein 5100
So I'm asking you for feedback on the idea of changing all the springs and putting the 2.25" eibachs on front with bilstein set to 0" and 1" eibach springs in back ( 5100's rear handles well up to 2" of extra travel being longer than stock )
Will it be a smart expense?
Other than leveling the truck and jacking it up a bit, will I be able to see improvements in the ride and no longer hear those thuds when I hit a hole in the road?
ps: i see on the product description on this springs "Must be used with Eibach Pro-Truck Sport Front and rear Shocks ; will they work well in combination with the bilsteins 5100 or do I necessarily buy all the eibach stage 1 pro kit and replace the bilsteins?
pss : which is the best between this 2 option ?
1 - Bilstein front at 0,7" ( 2nd ring ) with eibach springs 2,25" + Icon/Tuff Springs rear 1,5"
2 - Bilsten 5100 front at 0" ( 1st ring ) with eibach springs 2,25" + Eibach springs rear 1"
