So I've noticed this 3 times now. Any time I go to manual shift, the fan clutch locks up and stays on until I turn the truck off for 10-ish minutes. Most probably wouldn't notice, but I often need the gears to control descent coming down out of a canyon.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Here's my first towing report. The truck has 7k miles on it. I drove 285 miles round trip today. Half of that was towing a 3700 lb tilt deck trailer empty and the other half was 9000 lbs loaded on the way back. While empty I mostly drove at 70 mph in 6th gear with MDS off. When loaded I set the cruise at 65 mph in 5th. My EVIC read 12.4 mpg and hand calculated I got 11.7 mpg.

90% of my driving was flat interstate. The loaded half I had a decent cross wind and some storms. I'm pretty happy with the way it preformed overall.

By manually putting into 6th gear by pressing the - on the shifter. That takes it out of D and into 6th.
That disables MDS but still allows use of all 6 gears.

I doubt MDS would've even kicked on with that load anyway. I put it in 6th for a while and it still never went passed 5th even with tow haul mode off.

My fan worked perfect until about 1,500 miles, now on ALL the time. Not sure why yours would do the above. I've looked and dealer researched and the 6.4 fan is manual only-no hook up to computer. They started a Chrysler trouble ticket as they have had three 6.4 with clutch fan issues. Ordering a new one for me and we'll see what happens. It is an issue on this fan but Chrysler has not issued any bulletin yet. 5.7 doesn't do it so may use a 5.7 fan??? Ideas?

With all these trucks getting lifted, most had the chrome clad 20" wheels and low mile tires. Whats a fair price to sell the take-off for? I am pretty sure the TPMS have been removed from most of these sets.

Maybe it's on all the time, and I only notice when the RPMs are high(aka compression braking). My mileage has been really decent lately, so I never considered it was on all the time. I'll look in the morning when I start the truck.

I sold mine for 1200 with the TPMS sensors in it. Most I see run at least 1000 to 1500 and more on Ebay

Anyone else having the check engine light pop on? The truck has under 1500 miles and its come on twice. I had it scanned and it read random multiple misfire P0300. My mechanic neighbor reset it and it didn't come back on till I tried to start it up this morning with the remote start. It runs fine and there are no signs of misfires. Obviously im going to the dealership but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

I believe someone said there is a reprogram for something similar to that available.

My truck did that once. Misfire in cylinder #6. Drove normal, just set off the check engine light. The dealer was ready to start replacing ignition related parts on that side of the engine when a software update was released addressing the issue. That was at 1000 miles, I'm at 8000 now and it hasn't happened since.

Yes, mine came on too for misfire issues when cold. I didn't hear misfires but the computer detected them. Dealer said there was a TSB and reprogram to fix the issue as it is pretty common. Mine has been good since the reprogram.
