I purchased all the pieces needed- Cables ...media unit...adapters etc.

Subd XM with No issues.

Install went PERFECTLY......Until............ I had a battery failure in my 2016 Ram 3500.

Now.....that being said.

Suddenly I have lost ALL XM icons.

I can use AlphaOBD to see Radio info....shows MY truck VIN.

Diagnostic mode will bring up XM perfectly.
BUT......No way to get it on screen.
Info screen shows I AM subd.

All else works Perfectly.....BUT it does show Jeep stuff in the Apps.......

Dealer could NOT get it to work ....
Ebay guy will NOT refund me.

ANY help out here????

How long has it been since the last time power was disconnected? The radio will need several power cycled/hours to fully reset. In my tests, the minimum was two power cycled and two hours of doing nothing before all icons were back on screen.

Im trying to find out if the Serius ID is tied to a SINGLE VIN.....or does the VIN even matter....

I don't know if it matters or not but I wasn't going to take the chance on losing travel link. I just gave them the radio code and when they asked me if this was for my 2018 2500 Ram I said Yup that's it.

White screen???
I got a 68331632AJ from a salvage yard. When I connect it and start the truck the screen powers up but remains all white.
Is it defective or incompatible?
I have a Canadian 2017 ram, and unplugged the battery for 1-2 minutes.

No, it's tied to the radio's SXM ID.

Sounds like it's stuck on an update. Inserting a USB with the latest update might let it continue. I'd try soonest in case you need to send it back.

Grrrr! Looks like all Canadian VINs are out of the Uconnect database and have to go through a dealer to get the files. I’ve tried multiple Canadian VINs and all of them report “YOUR VEHICLE IS UP TO DATE”! Where can I get Canadian files or can I use files for UAQ ?
I only have a few days to figure this one out until my return policy expires.

There "may" be Canadian firmware in this thread (I haven't looked)... someone else may know too.

Just making sure is this the correct radio to swap to the UAQ in my 2017 ram? i had noticed the part number in thread that the last letter is different does this matter ?

Left the ACQ screen in overnight and now this morning a bunch of vertical lines. I have looked at the LCD ribbon cables and PCB and they appear ok. Looks like the LCD/PCB is defective. I have not tried a software update yet. I will send this unit back.

Finally put an 8.4 in my truck. I got it from a 2020 classic. Based on the build sheet for the VIN I thought it was going to be a UAQ. Turns out its a VP4R-A??? Part number is 68461699AB. I googled the part number but didn't come up with anything. Seems to be working, I had a little scare when the backup camera didn't work at first. It took about 3 or 4 key cycles before it came on. XM was working at first but it went back to demo mode after a couple of hours. Has anyone else ran across one of these?

I highly doubt that radio is out of a 2020 Ram Classic.... Likely a Cherokee/compass based on that JR 30.24.x sw application version.

Apparently new ram 4th gen UAQ/UAS radios are shipping with JR v30.24 or v34.2 application sw now. (Same as Jeep?)

All I know is I used the vin from the doner truck and the radio serial number to get the unlock code from my local dealer.
