'03 2500 4WD long bed soften suspension

I am trying to search for ideas to soften the suspension on my '03 2500 4WD longbed....I know tires play an important role but what else short of different springpacks ? I am mid sixites and live rural with really harsh asphalt county roads.

i switched my 1996 2500 long bed to Bilstein non-adjustable shocks all round at 60,000 miles. If I had known what a huge difference it would make to the ride I would have done it when it was brand new. My 2021 I ordered with the off road package because that way it came with Bilsteins. The other thing that smooths them out a lot is 600 pounds in the box. I carry my quad in mine, under the canopy, pretty much all the time, because I use the quad so much.

Some like the 4600, I put 5100 non adjustable on my front of 06 2500, I agree weight in the bed helped the ride for hwy driving...

Part number from the bill in Aug 2009, front B52BE52549, rear B52BE52550H1. They also fit the 2002 Rams. They were $136 Canadian each back then. With 80,000 miles on them, most not on pavement, they still work perfect.
