Remove the 3rd brake light. Replace all the bulbs so you won't need to do it again soon. And seal with clear silicone.

Could be worse - our ignitions could be failing and killing people...

Mines not leaking yet, that I can tell, but next weekend, when it isn't raining, I plan on sealing mine really well to make sure it doesn't start.

The same issue on Ford F150.

Yup, this leaky 3rd brake light crap is all over the F150 forums. I was disappointed when I bought my 14 Ram Sport and started to read the forums only to see the same darn leaky 3rd brake light issue. Ridiculous.

I went ahead and bought LED light bulbs and sealed mine with silicone before it ever leaked. I didn't want to wait until I had a wet mess.

third brake light, donp't silicone it though, Google is yoru friend, research 3rd brake light and gasket. there is a thread where a guy shows how he used to strips, 2 different sizes, to create his own gasket for the third brake light. too tired to find it now. basically get some sticky door weather sealant, cut to sixe, run another one, around the outside of the first one and re install the light assembly.

not too complicated

Cheers,
Dave

Good idea, but silicone works fine.
Mines going on two years and no leaks.. Yeah and I live in Louisiana, we've had rain almost everyday going on a month now.

I did this trick first on my 2011 truck...did not work. Went to the silicone seal method and worked flawlessly. First thing I did on my 2013 when I discovered it had the same issue. No issues now well over a year and a half.

Same here. Silicone solved it and had no further issues since.
