Thanks, yes there isn't a ton of information out there yet, and really a bunch of unanswered and unknowns on this Uconnect system. It could be a very cool system.... if it works properly lol. So far my USB cable for the iphone won't work, unless I need a special cable, not sure? and it shows apps on the Uconnect website like Pandora etc, and I think I finally got them to confirm, they're not available yet.

Yeah, it's going to take some time I'm sure. I rarely drive my truck and when I do it is for short periods of time, so I'm not to concerned about that stuff yet.

Cool, yeh I figured as much, for me its my daily (for work) and my old truck I had just put in a loaded Pioneer Avic Navi etc. That thing did everything but toast bread lol.

I ordered all my install stuff today so we shall see. Do you have an iphone? I can't seem to get the iphone usb jack thing to work.

I do have an iPhone. Mine worked just fine. There are two USB jacks to get the iPhone to work, you gotta plug it into the blue lined USB port that is just the micro SD card slot

Ok cool. That's the jack I was using too. I'm thinking that when you use that port it only plays music stored on the phone not apps like pandora etc.

Thanks yep I figured that out finally lol. For now if you want to use the apps you have to either use Bluetooth or the Aux In port.

I was trying to setup the voice text messaging too, couldn't figure that out, then called them and they said voice text isn't supported on iphone lol. I ordered my Audio Control LC2i with bass control, box, wiring kit etc, can't wait to get the thump back!

Finally got to opening the truck up and the factory amp doesn't seem to be in the same location as where yours is. Now the quest begins!

Try same location, but on the passenger side. You may need to pull off the Kickpanel. Only other logically spot is under a seat.

Hmm yeh I looked in the passenger side and there is a very small black box but I'm not sure if that's it, under both seats and rear seats there was nothing. Definitely scratching head now lol.

I forgot to note that the speaker wire colors you gave me a page back are correct I pulled the door speakers etc, I just can not find the amp to tap the wires at, I must be overlooking it!

It's probably the small black box. Should have two harnesses (1-white, 1-black) plugged into it.

Ill double check but I think the small black box had 2 yellow plugs in it and I didn't see any wires resembling the colors to the speakers.

Do you know if that signal is full range? My subwoofer doesn't seem to be getting as low of notes as it did in my last truck, but it could also be because the box is .525 cu. ft and my old one was more like .650 cu ft. Would that make a difference?

Box volume can make difference. It's an aspect of tuning the sub. Another thing is that you're using the factory head unit.

Are you using a basic LOC or does it have controls. Check the amp settings for gain and such.

I think it's the factory head unit issue for one, and yes I have that AudioControl LOC that has a ton of controls, I need to read on level matching or something to see what I should set the amp gains at and then set the levels on the LOC.

I also mounted a subwoofer volume control knob in the center console area so have that to adjust as well lol.

Awesome work... This is exactly what I want to do to my 1500 but I have never worked with fiberglass... Oh and I'm absolutely going to steal the wiring scheme for sure... If you ever wanna fabricate a couple of enclosures me just let me know how much $$$
