My instrument cluster has been flickering between normal and whitewashed for months. I finally got the truck in to the dealer to have them document it and replace it under the lifetime warranty and they said Chrysler changed the part numbers 2 weeks ago and it’s been discontinued.

That’s my life, no rant, just looking for advice.

Other than digging through a junkyard, what options are there?

I'd search here on the forum, multiple instrument cluster upgrades are documented. I would check to see what others have done and years utilized. I have seen a number of threads on people using a cluster from one year of truck to upgrade to another year of truck.

Most are plug and play with some effort.

Most are in the audio and electronics section

i would check with a different dealer and ask them.
timing to me sounds like, We don't care, go away.

BTW I have a 14, but no lifetime warranty, I did extend the warranty when I bought it new.

Lifetime warranty ? Just went to local yard and replaced my 2016 Ram flickering, code setting cluster with one from another 2016 works, like a charm. Couldnt be happier. Dealer wanted 2300.00 for new one for mine.

I have a Limited, apparently those clusters are unique to that trim model. I believe the largest supplier for clusters is Instrument Cluster Store and they just advised that they don’t one that will work for my truck.

Had a limited in my hand when I bought mine. Color scheme was the only difference.

Google instrument cluster repair. I have done a few GM trucks and they have been fine. I believe i used Southern Electronics before.

Wouldn't any cluster up to the 2024 Classic work?
No. Earlier versions used three screw mounting, later used four.

So 2013+ instrument clusters have different variations up to 2024, do you know what year they changed?

I can tell you that my 2010 used three screws, my 2014 used four. So I believe it was four screws on 4th gens after 2013.

They also changed completely in 13,as they went to a single electrical plug instead of the 2 electrical plugs on the back.
You're the only guy i ever seen use the mounting screws as the major differances :waytogo: :Big Laugh:

What's the part number they claim you need? What was the original PN?

09-12 significantly different electrically.

2013 trucks had a separate tpms module near the bumper with rf hub behind the rear seat ... and 2014-18/classic had the tpms integrated into the RF hub.

Unless you have a very early 14 build with a 13 setup and based on other posts I've seen over the years

I would expect any 14+ 4th Gen cluster to work as long as you match up the model type (1500/2500), engine type (gas/diesel), and transmission speed (6 vs 8spd).

Reach out to @AllMoparParts.com and maybe they can pull someone out of a hat for you that the dealer can order.

The reason I use that is because it's the easiest way without removing the cluster to determine compatibility: one screw at the top of the hood visible from outside the cluster, versus two.
