My '14 has about 148k on it with regular oil changes, etc. Bought the truck used with 36k and most mileage has been 100 mile plus events since then so mainly cruising down interstate. Ocassionally would throw a P0306 code every few months after about 110k but otherwise ran well.
> Started getting a bit of a tick within last month of driving
> Does have a permanent lost connection to body code that turned up about 2 years ago U0140.
> Two weeks ago it threw a P0300 on hard accelleration and later that day threw P0303 and P0306 and started to have a shudder under accelleration. On cold start has a little tick then goes away within about a minute of running. Idle is smooth other than mild tick and low speed is fine, but on acceleration shudders through whole body. No smoke or abnormal smell out the back.

I changed the 16 Iridium plugs out and swapped 2 different used coils on to the #3 cyclinder with no improvement. Checked one of the plugs on #3 and it was sooty.
>
Swapped new injector on #3 today and took 5 mile test drive. Still shudder on acceleration like it's missing. No pending code thrown but did flash check engine during a hard acceleration (assuming P0300 code). Then stopped a few mintues to chat up a friend. Restarted and then check engine light came on within 1 mile heading home throwing P0303 and P0300.

I'm at the end of what I think I can do DIY unless maybe there's something else easy to check? Was wondering if it was fuel pump/filter and find out these don't have a replacement filter.

Could it be bad pump?
O2 sensor?
Of course fearing worse and unfortunately local shops have big waiting list and fearing dealership

Given your efforts. I believe you have isolated it down to a potential internal issue.

You don't want to hear my experience with a flashing CEL. Had a story much like yours - got a couple flashing CELs and some shuddering. Took it into the dealer and it needs a new engine! Something about a main bearing going and throwing metal shavings into a filter and that is how they know. I'm super lucky that I have a MaxCare warranty otherwise it would be about a $13K fix at the dealer. Truck is bone stock with 120K miles - 2014, 6.4 Hemi.

I thought the '14s and up 5.7s were less likely to have the cam-lifter issue?
I guess I'll have to take it to the dealer to get the bad news?
