My fuel level sensor was working intermittently and giving me the P0463 code. I replaced the sensor with a mopar part. The gauge is reading the fuel level but I am still have the code. Thoughts?

I don't know what the code setting criteria is, but I don't think I've ever read of this happening after replacing the level sensor and the gauge works as it should.

I think the newest truck I've heard of with the dreaded level sensor issue was 2017-18, so I believe the issue hasn't been fixed.

The code should rest itself once the problem is fixed so I am not sure what is going on with it.

Yes, the code should clear itself.

Need some form of a factory service manual to see what the code setting criteria is. It's looking like the new sensor has issues even though the gauge appears to read normally. Never heard of this happening.

Update: the code cleared after driving about 10 miles and seems to be fine now.

Usually after you believe that you have repaired an issue & you still receive the same trouble code.
Go through up to 4 ignition cycles, ( a ignition cycle means start, run, then shut off, start run shut off, repeat, repeat )
If the code does not go away in those 4 ignition cycles
, then try disconnecting the Negative Battery post for 15 to 20 minutes, that will reset the computer
