2021 1500 Classic Uconnect Upgrade

I am having a hard time upgrading from the stock 5" Uconnect to the 8.4" Uconnect. Dealer says it is impossible to order from Ram which I find to be a slap in the face considering I just bought this brand new truck. I see other options online but it seems to be be very hit or miss. I would like to do this once.

You should be able to follow the upgrade thread. I just upgraded from 5.0 to 8.4 on my 2018 3500 with no problems. I have no experience with newer vehicles but believe it should work since it’s the same generation of truck. @Mpgrimm2 should know if it’s possible and will be able to hook you up with all the parts to upgrade.

I don't know what the hell I did to post the first reply disregard my bad.pretty much what gordo said.the only thing I can think of the dealer meaning impossible to order from ram is the radios stay on constant backorder.but you can still order them I think.my 20 classic came factory with 8.4 uas and auto climate control.most have better luck with it working by going auto temp control when they update radios.m2 mods is the way to go there.about sourcing a radio a ram specific part number works best but finding one with a good screen takes awhile.

Forum vendor @AllMoparParts.com can get you a new radio ($1250-$1350 I believe). And I can provide the rest if needed.

That's a 50/50 chance your truck will need the Single Zone (ATC Auto Temp Control) upgrade to avoid HVAC blend door issues... Don't think anyone else mentions that usually. It can be added if needed via the option connector on our conversion harness.

Registered so I could reply here... I have been reading the forums for the past 2 days trying to figure things out.
I am in the same boat just bought my truck we had a very limited selection of Classic Crew Cab's (I like the classic body style and 3rd front seat) + so I settled for a Crew cab that had a 5.0 thinking it would be an easy swap to a 8.4
With that said, I Have a 2021 Ram 1500 Classic with the 5.0 | 7 Speed Manual AC.

Would I be able to get the 8.4 bezel upgrade kit and just slap a 68461703AC ?
i have no idea what the other parts in the kit are i could only find 5VD73JXPAD
