Hey guys, just scored what is essentially my dream truck. You're going to have to forgive my ignorance here, I am new to lifted vehicles. I lived my whole life on country roads but couldn't afford one till now so I never educated myself on them. I have a 2021 Ram 1500 with a 6" lift on it. The truck came to me with 24" American forces, not my style, with 35x12.5r20's. I decided to yank those off and replace them with 35x11.5r20 on 20x9 KMC GRS wheels with 0 offset. I know, I know, why not 12.5 tires? Simple answer is I did some research and found that 11.5 was also a great option; cost effective, better steering response, handles wet and cold pavement better, etc. My fear, however is that 11.5 tires are gonna make it look like the chicken skipped leg day. Has anyone ran 11.5 tires before, how was the look? Did it really handle any better?

By its stance it looks like it may have came with a rough country lift. The truck looks beautiful so I would take measures to replace the short comings of the RC lift. I could be wrong and they may have altered the front suspension negatively to fit the American force wheels. I just don’t like seeing Rams with the tires folded under itself on a fb post or worse someone getting hurt because of it.
We are here to help you along but my recommendation is to tackle the suspension first then worry about a tire that’s 1” skinnier

^^^ what he stated, I'd say if you were close to Pennsylvania, take your truck to his shop to make sure the suspension is safe
Doesn't matter if you have the best handling and safest tires made, they're sorta negated if the what's holding them to the truck gives out.

The lift currently installed is a 6" ready lift with rear bilstein struts and front spacers. Specifically the lift kit at this link. I've had it looked over and there are a few things that need to be adjusted but no significant weak points noted as of right now. Currently getting some engine work performed so I'll have a pro shop do a thorough look over when I get her back. Ended up going to the tire shop and comparing 12.5 and 11.5 side by side and realized how significant the change was. Went with the 12.5 BFG KO3. If you guys have any further advice please let me know. I do not wanna screw this up. https://www.readylift.com/6-lift-kit-dodge-ram-1500-2019-2024.html

I had a question for you guys about the lift also. The front, as stated is spacers with stock shocks. Correct me if I'm wrong but it is entirely possible to shorten the spacers and get lifted bilstien 5100 shocks up front as well isnt it? Would it make the lift any better. I'd like to think a shorter spacer would be more robust and less prone to cracking or distortion.

No you cannot remove the spacer inexpensively however moving to a full length option will offer a better ride and adjustability. I do like readylift products however the lift kits for the rams they missed on, unfortunately. Find a shop that specializes in lifts and I will personally give them a Call and walk them through what your truck needs to be dialed in

For the front you would need to do a full length coil over. While that is possible, it is expensive but is worth it depending on your use. Message me if you would like to discuss options. We can set you up with something that fits your needs and provide options within your budget. We offer suspension components and have helped many RAM owners here. We have also worked closely with Quick_Shifter who is a wealth of knowledge here!
