Hey I have a question I've got a 96 Ram 1500 and my transfer case went out I found someone who had one and went and bought it but it's from a 99 and when I got home I discovered that it doesn't have speedometer hookup. Can I just change the output housing from my old transfer case onto the one from the 99?

Tail housing should physically bolt to the back of the case. However, I don’t remember if the later cases had the speedo teeth cut into the output shaft or not?
