4x2 into 4x4

Hey all

I want to convert my 4x2 ram into a 4x4 any websites for parts and what parts I need send them my way

There's lots of electronics and different programming involved, your probably better off trading the truck in for a 4X4.
Probably the easiest route would be to find a donor vehicle of the same year all the parts, wiring harnesses, and control modules to remove.

I'm not sure what your mechanical skill level or experience is, what your attachment to the current truck is, or what your overall motivation is. Not 100% but most of this is probably bolt-in type stuff....but high level bolt in stuff and a lot of it. As already mentioned the best option would be buy a complete donor truck, like something that has been wrecked and totaled out but still have a good drivetrain. Wouldn't even consider buying new parts in regards to cost.

Aw come-on, doesn’t anyone have a full list of all parts and part numbers to convert a 2016 Ram from 2x2 to 4x4?

Perhaps step-by-step instructions?

Perhaps a website with very low prices?

Perhaps a full set of how-to photos?

The 4X4's and 2X4's use differant frames,as stated probably easier and cheaper to trade your 2X4 off on a 4X4.

Just have to imagine this is cost prohibitive. And quite the mechanical nightmare. Then all the electronics. Just need to trade the 2WD in.

As already suggested, jack up your 4x2 radiator cap and slide a 4x4 truck under it.
