Not on a lift, but in real world conditions they all act the same for me. Lift was my next adventure, but the dealership said they did it and it worked "as designed" for them.( Which doesn't mean **** to me)Has anybody tested the differences in operation between the settings while the truck is on a lift? If so, post videos showing the differences please.
Sorry in advance for the long post, a couple pages back someone mentioned better tires and I blew them off because "the truck will still spin the rear first no matter what tires are on it" but thinking about it logically, the way this system is designed is all based off torque management. Technically it takes more torque to spin knobby tires when in snow or mud, thus in theory "tricking" the truck because of the extra torque needed to roll them over in mud/snow and engaging the front axle sooner. So my question is if anyone has knobby tires, how it works for you and how are you today haha.

With the far better traction that the Duratracs have, means it takes more torque to slip the rear tires, which results in a higher load on the front axle once it finally does engage. I know I had some pretty nasty sounds coming from my t-case last winter, during these high load front axle engagements. I'm actually kinda curious to see if the t-case will survive another winter of abuse.

Depending on my schedule this weekend I am going to try and put it on Jack stands in my driveway and do it. I'm thinking based on how it acts if I could hold the front driveshaft with my bare hands enough to keep it from spinning, Or even a front tire at an idle.Kinda wish I was still in the industry to experiment on things like this. I'm really, really curious to see if/what the difference in operation is between auto and lock with the truck in the air.
