8.4A Nav unlock, which maps included?

So thinking about doing the Nav unlock for my 8.4A, but wondering what maps would then be included with that unlock? I know they want you to update to the 2017.11.07 firmware, so makes me wonder if the newer maps are included then, or it they would be the older ones from 2014?

I'm sure you would get whats already there in the system, they just unlock it. You have to be running the 2017.11.07 firmware to even install the new maps. So you would have to buy the new ones.

Ok thanks guys, was hoping that maybe with the 2017.11.07 firmware install came the newer maps, therefore when unlocking nav after firmware install, I wouldn't then be required to pay another $150 for the newer maps. Oh well, wishful thinking I guess. I have a 2016 truck

If your plan is to have a dealer unlock the nav, why not see if you can work a deal with both the unlock and the 2017 maps?
