So I now realize that I have a 9.25 and definitely happy about that. Not only did I save myself the headache of swapping another 9.25 with Anti-slip...now I have the opportunity to upgrade something truly gnarly...or what about tack welding the spider gears? I know that when I turn my tires will chirp and hop I guesss...should I just invest in a solid unit? What's the best for 1/4 mile performance?

Thanks guys!

The best for a 1/4 mile drag will be welded gears with some sticky tires. But you are sacrificing drive ability with welded gears.

Probably impractical, kind of thought so....otherwise more people would do it. Just thought I'd ask

The weld spiders is called a "Lincoln Locker". You might consider a "Lunch Box" locker instead.

Can someone explain to a dummy what a lunch box locker is? I can't get the sites to load for me when I googled it.
