So did any of the issues get fixed for good? I know you said dealer found vacuum leak or something.

TBD. I dropped my truck with the check engine dealer last week and they still have it. With that said, they have me in a comfortable loaner, so no biggie for the delay. I've also asked them and @ramcares if the CEL dealer can be authorized to fix my radio so I don't have to go back to the dealer who left my dash in pieces. I'm (guessing) there might be an investigation going on to get the service transferred to the other dealer.

Wow sucks man. But glad you got a good loaner. Loaners are always fun :flamingdevil:

It has the 3.6 in it, which I've learned has a decent amount of pep!

Oh yeah. I’m actually thinking about a single cab with the v6 for the wife and my soon to be driving daughter. I drove the quad cab 2wd with 8sp and it’s seriously not bad at all. Just don’t wanna tow with it

Finally back in my own wheels. And, Mopar approved for that dealer to fix everything, so I will not have to make yet another trip to fix the radio. Kind of funny that the service person that called me from Ancira said "and we were able to get it all covered under the factory warranty so we didn't have to use your extended warranty." Well that's awful kind considering I brought it in with 34K miles on it...

Side note, Ancira found out that South Point had actually broke the new radio they (south point )put in my truck a couple weeks ago. So, Ancira had to put a 3rd radio in my truck. South Point is WAY off my list of future service locations now.

@ramcares (Jasmine ) Thanks for all your help getting this pushed through!

Glad it finally got taken care of sir!! That’s a great looking truck you got there. I got an all white one myself. I love the look with the chrome. Congrats again on a fixed Ram, and stay the hell out of South Point!

And the hits just keep coming. So, after all these troubles, I was worried I'd have a hard time if I ever needed future service, so I decided to cancel my Mopar Protection plan and go with Route66 (through my credit union). I've had great luck using R66 warranties in the past, they are super easy to work with, it has $0.00 deductible, and I can take it to any certified mechanic. So, I called Mopar - "yes sir, you're still within the period of a full refund, just email or fax us"; so, I used their link to upload a written request. The Mopar warranty came with 2 parts, essential care ($110.00) and max care ($1,677.00). About 2 weeks after the request I received a check in the mail (fast return, I'll give them that), opened the check and it was only for $110.

I just got off the phone with Mopar to confirm that the other check was still coming. The representative at first (briefly) tried to pin it on me and/or my bank, but then very quickly saw that I had my sh*t together and emailed them directly AND included BOTH plan numbers for cancellation. He is taking if from here and has to run my cancellation back through the system because he "doesn't know why they didn't cancel both policies even though I clearly listed both for cancellation". Ugh.

I bet your going to miss being treated "so well". I'm glad you finally got things worked out, it sure seemed like a long and painful road. Through your experience I have one less dealership to worry about going to.

PS Don't forget to sign up for the Mopar event in Sealy on 10-13. There is a sign up sheet in the Event section and in the Regional section.

KahneFan glad to see you FINALLY got things done... Had a similar situation with my 2013 Ram with recall work done at AUTONATION Ram on Arapahoe here in Colorado. No clue as to what customer service was, after many calls (daily) to Autonation Corporate was I able to get any reaction. I promised them I would spread the word on how ****** their service was and that I would suggest if anyone looking for service to avoid their business..

Well, I have 3 recalls on my truck and I'm not sure what to do now. I don't trust the dealer closest to me to even air up my tires, so I'm no going there. There's a good chance they'd leave my rotary shifter out and tell me I have to re-install it myself. The next closest dealer to me will "get to it when they get to it", but it has to be left with them. So, you drop your truck and cross your fingers on when you might get it back. After that, all other dealers are over an hour away. If I use any of those, and they need the truck for more than a day, I'd realistically have to rent a vehicle. I'm not going to make anyone drop me/pick me up twice for this. Ugh. I wish the 2 closest to me could be trusted.
