Thank you Manuel but everyone here has bought some and there is none !!!!!!! I will have to wait
Can someone help me program my keyless entry on my 2011 2500?
When I brought the truck a few months ago. It only came with they single key to the left.
I ordered two OEM keyless fobs
The problem is when I get to the last step “ PROGRAM IGNITION KEYS or KEYS FOBS “. It gets stuck at started please wait.
My procedures. I inserted my original key into the ignition. I turned it to run position.
I connected my android phone>Bluetooth>Alfaobd.
when I get to “PROGRAM IGNITION KEYS or KEYS FOBS”
I turn the truck off, remove the original key.
Insert the new FOB
Turn the ignition to ACC
I enter my 4 digit pin
And I hit start.
and it just hangs there.
I just saw that this key is in store but it has already been used, could I still program it ? or it is better to take it new
If its already programmed it needs to be cleared before it can be reprogrammed. Only a dealer or locksmith (with presumably expensive tools) can do that.
Stick with new, even if you have to buy a generic brand (I had good luck with KeylessOption on Amazon)
I have what might be a silly question... just had my CEL go on and then right after that a cluster notification that my left tail light was out. Replaced the tail light and then used Alpha OBD to check the code.. got B1642, tail light short to ground... cleared the code and now there are none left, but the CEL will not go away?... is there something I am doing wrong?, or does it take key cycles after I clear the code before it goes away? I have had other OBD SW that when I cleared the code it turned off right away.
..... and is that normal to have to have a CEL light up with a tail lamp being out?
There is some other issue going on. Most faults in the BCM don’t request a CEL, and definitely not lamp faults. Check all the other modules for faults, starting with the engine.
ahhh.... think I get it now. I thought that all codes were shown regardless of module. What are the major ones for codes, engine for sure, and body controller... any others?
looks like it was just a coincidence that I got a CEL and tail lamp out at the same time!.. next work break will go check again. Thanks.
Looks like alfa will soon be able to pull your PIN:
Someone posted in the Chrysler pin puller thread about a month or so ago that he received a test version from Alexey, and it worked for Rams, so definitely sounds like he got it dialed in.
*edit* I see you mentioned in the linked thread about the same post I probably saw.
I went to the dealer parts department today and got the Pins for my 2009 and my 2018.
