Just got my mx+ and downloaded the app and first thing i did was global windows down that worked as advertised pretty neat. Main reason i bought the stuff was for the tire pressure thresholds but i dont have the pin from my dealer yet so that will have to wait a little bit. What should i tinker with next???

Hello, just got the OBD link, software, and android tablet. I am able to connect to my 2017, Running into problems when trying to upload to Google drive.. My account shows up but nothing happens when I click on it, any tips or pointers? Thanks, Roger

Also, you need to click on the battery icon, to force Alfa to read the BCM, sometimes... then you can make an upload to G.D.

@bellaireroad, did you get the popup window that had your gmail account plus an option below it to sign in with another account? I am just starting with Alfa myself on an Amazon Fire tablet. First connection last night so I wanted to upload my BCM config to Google Drive before making any changes. I got to that popup and couldn't get past it. I selected my gmail, but the window just pops back up over and over. If we have the same problem, I guess I'll have to wait for the Alfa update, too.

Just to rule this out for you guys, are you connected to WiFi/internet when you’re trying to upload?

Yes, WiFi. I was able to switch to the Google Drive app (I had to download it from Google Play before starting to play with Alfa) and make a new folder just for testing.

As a quick note for everyone, I installed HIDs in my 2015 Laramie last night. I used a Xenon Depot Xtreme HID kit, it shipped with resistors, relay harnesses, and PWM adapters. I used none of those things and just connected the ballast directly to the bulb output.

I set the following options in the BCM to not have the car set off bulb out warnings and to hopefully completely turn off PWM.

• High Intensity Discharge Head Lamps: Set
• LED Low Beam Lamps Present: Set

No bulb out warnings after driving around for 30 minutes. The HIDs seem to run without issue with the truck on and off. So far so go but I will be carrying the left over parts in my truck for a little while just in case.

The beam pattern is exactly the same as it was before but the lights are substantially brighter, so I am happy that I won't be blinding oncoming drivers. I will see how this works and HID fogs will be the next on the list to get replaced.

Yes same thing, I emailed the developer and he said there would be a fix this weekend....download the new version from the same place you got the original

Im picking up my truck today after a gear swap, and am wondering if it is necessary to program for the new gears. I know a lot of guys say that their speedo works fine afterward, because of the speed sensors on the wheels, but what about the transmission? Does it need to know the final gear ratio to adjust the shifts? Can you do that with the AlphaOBD system?

Like all the others above have said Benny @AllMoparParts.com really works hard at finding us the correct parts for our mods. All the other parts departments I had tried to deal with before I found Benny just always told me oh no, by using your VIN number the system says that part is not for your truck. They wouldn't even sell me a VR switch for a 2018 when that model year just came out because the listing was too new. He's the best and like @Lawsuit11 said you can't beat the free shipping and the discount structure.

Yesterday I installed a CHSML camera in place of my third brake light....I have not activated it yet . I am getting a message on the evic that the R brake light is out. It is working. Is there a way to clear this with alphaobd? Thanks

I would update the ratio for sure. Pretty sure the senors on the wheels are only for ABS, not your speedometer. I believe there is a sensor on the output of the transmission that is used for the speedometer.

The speed is, indeed, taken off the wheel sensors, not the transmission. This is why a speedometer correction for bigger tires will also correct the shift points. @FlatbedHemi, it’s not necessary to update the ratio, but if you do, only use the closest ratio that is a factory offered option on your year/model, otherwise the bcm may not recognize the ratio.
