The nice thing about the Darts and 200 is that the PROXI alignment makes the changes instant.
I did see that thread, but no one seems to have nearly the experience in mods there as on here with our trucks. Didn't really get a feel for what the proxy alignment does, except that it seems to do everything somehow. Lol. Since I haven't seen this procedure mentioned on here, I will assume it doesn't apply to the ram, but does for the dart and 200. It's not just another way of doing something I see happening on here...
PROXI is not listed in the BCM lists for the Ram. All it does on the Darts and 200s is make the changes instant. If a tech fails to run PROXI, the odometer flashes and possibly the changes never happen or CELs pop up. The cluster can light up like a Christmas tree. The Darts and 200s just did not have the number of options as Rams so there just isn't as much to do.
Alpinegreenneon, thanks. I read through the dart thread and I think I have a better feel for what to expect from my 200 now. It sounds like basically I would change out the RF module and do a proxi alignment and turn on the remote start in the menu. It will somewhere need the rolling code, and program the new fobs. I'll try to take notes and assuming it works, I might add it to the 200 forum

Have you updated the radio to the latest firmware of 17.11.07? If you haven't I would recommend trying that first to see if the icon will appear. The backup camera/trailer hitch camera soft key button was not an option until 2016. It may be that the software of the radio is not detecting the option. Each year radio actually has a specific software but after the 1711.07 and newer software updates they all seem to function the same it would be worth giving it a shot. You would need to install the MY14 17.11.07. The 17.11.07 firmware for the 13 14 and 15 radios had a glitch that actually enabled them to display the cargo cam on the radio screen like the 16 and 17 trucks instead of the mirror. That was corrected in the 17.43.01 firmware update so I'm not sure if that update would support the trailer hitch icon. Long story short. If you haven't updated the firmware I reccomend trying the 17.11.07 first to see if it helps.
It's been several weeks to maybe a month now.
The radio is running on 17.11.07 currently. I have heard that being a 14' radio it will not be able to have the soft key for the backup camera but I find it hard to believe that will always only be available on the newer radios because after installing the Customtronix Enigma Premium I have the controls menu which the radio did not have before the Enigma and when selecting the Cargo camera soft key (used for my front camera) I can then click on the backup camera through that screen at the top left just takes a bit longer and not as quick.
