I added power adjustable pedals/ and mopar switch to my 2018 2500 Laramie.

Dealership says it doesn't show up as a sales code option they can add.....

Has anyone had any luck enabling them with alpha? I ordered the mx off amazon and will be purchasing Aplha app soon.

I am waiting on my security cable from kodatech....

Does anyone have any experience with this addition?

Thanks!

There are two settings in AlfaOBD to change to get the power pedals to work.
VehConfig 3-adjustable pedal feature present (non-memory)-yes
CBC I/O- adjustable pedal motor relay output- yes
EDIT- if your truck has memory seats, and you wired the pedals up to the memory module under the seat, you’ll leave the above two settings to “no”, and set “memory- memory adjustable pedals” to yes.

STecoD and I are in the process of building our harnesses and installing the memory pedals right now. It took a while to get all the correct connectors and pins but we finally have everything. The wiring for the memory style adjustment switch is different than the non memory and of course there is much more wiring involved in the actual memory style pedals than the non memory. Since our trucks are lower trim levels they didn't have any of the correct wiring for either setup. There is a setting in the alfa for non memory pedals and memory pedals but obviously we aren't sure if they will work until we get everything installed. To the best of my knowledge I don't think anyone on this forum has done this conversion yet so you will be one of the first. The memory pedals is an available option on your 18 Laramie so Im not sure why the dealer can't access the setting in your BCM. We are hoping to have ours installed in a week or so time permitting. Good luck let us know how it goes if you get yours programmed before we get ours installed.

Yep thats correct. Mine were plug and play as far as bolt in and wiring, wires all ready there and all. From what I understand the tipm or ecu was not configured to power the switch I installed because the truck wasn't originally built with them.

The dealer only explained to me over the phone that my last 8 of my vin on his witech did not have power pedals sales code show up as an option to add, and he said he couldn't add something that he couldn't click on as changeable.... he said he saw the normal things they usually change or add but no power pedals....

I adjusted them to where I want them by applying 12v directly to the pedals themselves for the short term of things.

I imagine I have the memory pedals as everything else on it is memory that can be...

I will keep y'all posted of any progress or problems as I go along.

Thank you !!!

Great ! Thank you I will try this in a couple days when my cable arrives!

I have memory seats and mirrors but I don't know of the used pedal assembly I got is memory or not... all the wiring was already present and plug and play from column switch down to pedal assembly....

Does this mean I should do the memory config??

Apparently I'm not smart.enough to get this thing working...where do you all find vehicle config3, etc? All mine is allowing me to do is start and stop options. I paid for the full app. 93c98040d875fbbaaa09c42e79e60692.jpg1f9c15cc95bee44604158c9f29a54cd7.jpg8274521f8bf0a7a5f96d36afdb79016d.jpg

Does the connector that is plugged into the pedal motor have two, or four wires. If it has four wires, they are wired memory.

Once connected to my body Computer. Scroll all the way to the bottom you'll see car configuration. Select that. Then you'll have a whole other list were you'll find it

As Jimmy07 stated if you have four wires running to the pedal adjust motor it's memory if you have two it's non memory. We were wondering if we would need to enable the memory code in order for them to adjust manually with the switch but apparently we will since it appears yours aren't working for the manual adjust without the code. I'm curious to see how they work when we get them all done.

Some trucks have the memory wiring and some don't depending on the year, trim level and cab configuration. Also only the Laramie,Longhorn and Limited seats are memory capable. Many of us have successfully enabled the memory codes with the alfa tool. If your truck happens to already have the wiring it should work fine if you enable the correct codes. If you have a violet wire with yellow stripe in pin#2, White wire with light blue stripe in pin#5, a solid white wire in pin#6 and a violet wire with brown stripe in pin#13 of the truck side harness that runs to the drivers seat yellow seat connector your truck is wired for memory. As stated the correct codes to enable the memory seats are listed in the first post of this thread underv(known working codes).

Is there anyone local to the Chicagoland area that would be able to enable the codes?

Ive had my turn signal/ parking lamps led since summer. Set all to led in system. No problems until about 1 month ago left front out warning on turn and parking then the same for right front. Got th dash hyper flash but both worked normal when viewed from the front. After about 10 miles of driving everything started working fine. I thought it may have been a bad connection like it shook loose so I removed the left & all was good so I reseated it & put it back. No more issues for a few weeks then last week i did it again on a short trip to a store. No more issues since. I tried resetting it with Alfaobd and it responded that it was already set. No idea, maybe my bulbs are just on the edge of the spec as far as current draw.

Same as mine. Installed this summer. No issues. Few days ago it started hyper flash on dash but lights ok. I used AlphaOBD to set. Is it do to cold outside? Anyone?

It's possible that the cold has something to do with it or just a glitch with our trucks

Just chiming in to say thanks to everyone here. I saw this thread, and have now read completely through it. Purchased the app and mx+ and managed to change a few things with out completely borking my truck. So far, global down, DRLs set to high beams, DRL drop out off, changed headlights to LEDs and killed the annoying seat belt chime. Soon enough will be changing the rest of the exterior lights over to LEDs. Thanks guys.

That means the switch and motor are run completely through the memory seat module. Once you get AlfaOBD up and running on your truck, you should only need to change this setting under car configuration change- 6CaOYbZ.jpg

12 times I have tried to change my mileage with the Alpha OBD with no luck. I purchased the software last week and am using a Kindle Fire. Any hints? I have followed the same procedure every time with no luck. Is it possible that my new cluster could be bad?
Update I can change my idle hours and my total hours. So now I don't believe its a bad cluster. Still no luck with the mileage change though

Unlikely. What obd2 reader are you using?
