Sorry didn't notice your post. The door modules I used are 68225102AC Right side 68225103AC Left side. I reccomend contacting Benny @AllMoparParts.com in the vendor section on the forum to double check your part numbers and order them. They have great prices and he is familiar with most of the upgrades we do.

im wondering if anybody can tell me if i have to buy the OBDlink MX or if my current ELM327mini will work with the alfaobd app? i want to install LED headlight bulbs but i cant figur this OBD stuff out very well(im more of a old school kinda guy)

I used the HIKARI LED Headlight Bulbs and didn’t need to use alfaodb for anything. They worked without throwing any codes.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas.

You dont need to ask anyone. You can find out yourself.

Download the FREE Alpha, which is made to test connections ;) Pretty much all it does.

Then you will know for sure. I have used my ELM327 on many things but mine does not work on Alpha.
I will be buying the MX.

I have a set of aftermarket projector headlights that are giving me a turn signal out message and causing the mirror to hyper flash. These lights replaced the stock projector light so that isn’t the issue. Has anyone been able to fix this using Alfa?

Disable these two:

CBC I/O Usage- front driver door ajar switch usage

CBC I/O Usage- front passenger door ajar switch usage

Ok, I will give this a try. Any idea why this stops the turn lamp out warning?
And I guess this means the truck won't tell me when the doors are ajar anymore?

You’ll see when you go to disable them. Those are actually the circuits ram uses for the front lamp diagnostics for the projector trucks. Your aftermarket lights don’t have anywhere for those circuits to go, so they need to be disabled.

Has anyone been able to add passenger seat heat to come on with remote start?
There is no settings in the BCM to enable the passenger seat heat or vent to turn on with remote start.

Just wanted to throw out that I have this BAFX OBD tool and it works perfect with alfaOBD on my phone:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NLQAHS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That is the one I used for a while. Do note, though, that it will not connect to some modules (like door or heated seat), unless you buy an adapter harness for it. But the harness is expensive enough and hard to find that you might as well invest in the MX/MX+ if you need to connect to those modules.

Once I saw the "adding Keyless Enter N Go" how-to, I ordered the MX just in case.

Hey guys, so it's been a few weeks since my last DRL question and all seems good there (thanks again @Jimmy07 !). Now I'm having an issue with some LED fog lights I put in. Initially they were fine for a few weeks and then I had the drivers side start flickering on me. Went in with alfa and switched the setting over to LED fog lamp present and it has been fine for the last 2-3 weeks until last night when it started flickering again (same drivers side) and then just went dead. Anyone have any suggestions on other settings I can try to change to make these work before I pull them out and try another set?

Have you looked at the wiring itself? I had a fog light flicker like that and the plug where it connects to the factory harness was completely corroded on the bulb side. I cut the bad plug off and wired in another, problem solved...

I dont see a setting in Alfa for it, but I would be interested to see what voltage is going to your fogs. Maybe too much?

If it worked, then didnt, then did and then didnt again, I would think that maybe its a bad bulb....maybe try swapping right and left and see if the problem follows the bulb or stays with the left.

No I haven't but I'll check it tomorrow to see if there is anything like that. I would hope not as they haven't been there for very long but I know anything is possible.

That's a good question, it always seems to be the drivers side that has an issue while the right side is completely fine. I will swap them around tomorrow and see if the problem persists or not on the drivers side. I have an old set of LEDs as well that I'll try out (and I guess go back to for now until I can figure these out). I like these bulbs more because they have the dual color mode feature (3000k/6000k) but I don't like unreliability, and my old fogs have never given me any issues before.

I added power adjustable pedals/ and mopar switch to my 2018 2500 Laramie.

Dealership says it doesn't show up as a sales code option they can add.....

Has anyone had any luck enabling them with alpha? I ordered the mx off amazon and will be purchasing Aplha app soon.

I am waiting on my security cable from kodatech....

Does anyone have any experience with this addition?

Thanks!

STecoD and I are in the process of building our harnesses and installing the memory pedals right now. It took a while to get all the correct connectors and pins but we finally have everything. The wiring for the memory style adjustment switch is different than the non memory and of course there is much more wiring involved in the actual memory style pedals than the non memory. Since our trucks are lower trim levels they didn't have any of the correct wiring for either setup. There is a setting in the alfa for non memory pedals and memory pedals but obviously we aren't sure if they will work until we get everything installed. To the best of my knowledge I don't think anyone on this forum has done this conversion yet so you will be one of the first. The memory pedals is an available option on your 18 Laramie so Im not sure why the dealer can't access the setting in your BCM. We are hoping to have ours installed in a week or so time permitting. Good luck let us know how it goes if you get yours programmed before we get ours installed.
