We have already tried to find a setting for it and it is not there so the digging has been done. The only option we have found with the tool is to turn it on or off. The blink count is not listed in the options menu. I am sure that the three blinks is programmed somewhere but the problem is finding it. I have looked with my other programming tool as well and it is not displayed with it either. I do agree 3 blinks is not enough. I would prefer at least 5 or 6.

Hi guys, looking for a little help. I wanted to get the outside air temp to show on my UConnect 8.4. Using Alfaobd I changed the following settings

VehiConfig 3 Display outside temperature Present; set to yes
Cust.Set.Menu 2; Temperature Unit CSM Present; set to yes

The outside temp did show up on my 8.4 screen but in Celsius rather than Fahrenheit . The temp on my 7 inch EVIC shows correct at 68 degrees. Checked the settings in Uconnect and Fahrenheit is checked. Also if I choose custom it wont’ let me make a change. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys, for some reason I have a P1009 fault code that keeps popping up even after I clear it in the Body Control Module. When I click on the code, it says:

Humidity Sensor Module
Last test completed unsuccessfully
Error present
Failure warning lamp 'ON': Not requested

What does this mean? Is it bad? What do I do to get rid of it? Thanks.

Well I don’t know, I may have screwed up but I went ahead and ordered me a new sensor to go on the windshield so maybe there is something wrong with it because to be honest, I’ve noticed quite a few times after remote starting my truck in the morning and if there’s any kind of condensation on the windshield, it does seem like there’s a lot of times where my heater won’t be on defrost so like I said, maybe it is bad.

If you can see Celsius try changing the setting to Celsius from Fahrenheit and see if it reads Fahrenheit.

Another thing I’ve read is disconnect your neg battery terminal for 5min. It’s suppose to act like a computer rest after hardware install. Maybe do this first.

Funny enough maybe it’s a setting in your 8.4. I just played with mine and got it to switch back and fourth.

Just got AlfaOBD(today) and 2 new FOBIKs for my 2010 Ram 1500, I ran through the FOB programming guide in this thread, fob walk through and options available for me were not the same so I'm likely missing something.

Problem:
Old FOBIK works 100% - lock/unlock/starts truck
Both new FOBIKs start truck but lock/unlock doesn't work. System sees lock and unlock buttons pressed but lock/unlock events don't occur.

After RF-Hub connects, only option available is "Program ignition key or fob". New FOBIK each receive, "Test successful" msg. Notes states: New key must be in "RUN" position, must run replaced ELV/ESCL/PEM after if systems installed, ELV/ESCL/PEM = "System no present".

If it helps, I think there is an option in the radio itself using AlfaIOBD to connect directly to it. You might be able to remove the temperature with a setting. I think it's called "temperature defeat"...

Hey guys, need a little help. I am trying to activate the gear indicator on my 17 Ram 1500 laramie. I found the location on it and have turned it to YES but it does not show on the dash. I have cycled ignition, turned it off and back on and still nothing. I had this same issue when I installed the OEM brake controller and then one time it just work turning on the trailer brake controls. Is there a certain way of going about these process of enabling things? I have seen many YouTube videos of guys doing different settings and it always seems to work for them first try. My truck never seems to work first try.

I have also done fog and low beams on with high beams and also turned off a few other things.

If yours is an 8-speed I believe it will only ever display the gear limiter and never the current gear...

It is an 8speed. But I just tried getting DRL to work tried everything I seen that had to do with DRL one at a time and I got nothing. I have no idea if I am doing this right.

Hi guys, I’m having a bit of an issue. I upgraded my mirrors on my 1500 tradesman with the turn signals and puddle lamps. I replaced the door modules with part #68225102AC and 68225103AC. The white connector on the mirror has 8 wires so I believe it would have all the options. My issue is the tilt in reverse is not working. I set all the options I could find in Alfaobd but still won’t work. Everything else is working, turn signals, puddle lamps, power fold. The other issue is the express window option. The express down works but the express up doesn’t. Any help would be greatly aprreciated, thanks

Whats the setting for that so I can look into on mine?

Also, I was able to find a more step by step for my DRL's and also did not know they only come on while in drive. They shut off when in park and when parking brake is set. I also have the HID's so there was a few more steps to change in the settings.

Update: found that holding the up switch on the door panel for 10 seconds resolved the issue for express window up. I also found the tilt in reverse option was in my 7 inch EVIC set it to on and it worked. It still doesn’t show up in my 8.4 display.

Well holy crap guys, I guess y’all weren’t kidding when you said sometimes settings take a while to set because I just got in my pickup and looked and sure enough, I all the sudden have my option to turn the DRL’s off and on from my screen.

Looking for some advice. I have a 2019 1500 classic tradesman and want to add the interior auto dim mirror. I have the 8.4 Uconnect and wondering just what I would need to do the replacement. I already changed my side view mirrors which does have the driver side dimmer glass. Would the auto dim rear view be plug and play or would I have to use any harness or do any wiring myself. My truck has the microphones in the headliner so it doesn’t look like I would need the mirror with the microphones. Any help with part numbers would be appreciated. I already have Alfaobd and the security bypass harness, and I have been using the the V-linker MC+. Thanks in advance, this forum has been a great source of info and appreciate being part of it.

I had to do some harness modifications for my 2013 Tradesman HD. I had to add wiring and splice in the ground. Connector is on passenger A pillar.
