I finally got my TPMS sorted out. I had ended up buying AlfaOBD, OBDLink MX+, an Android tablet to run the sw on, and found a dealer who ONLY charged $20 for the 4 digit pin.

I used this thread for lots of info and a link to a google drive for some step by step info.

I also have a Tazer RAM that I still keep plugged in for some of the special features that it offers with a couple quick buttons (2000 rpm idle for winching, "line-lock" feature for doing burnouts, etc.). And anxiously awaiting the soon to be released diff locking in any combination of 4 hi or 4 lo, or locking the rear in 2 high.

So I really now use a combination of the alfaOBD/OBDLink and the Tazer.

And I also keep a BlueDriver in my console for OBD Diagnstics.

So, Hopefully I only need those 3 ODBII devices to give me all the things I want to be able to do. If there is something else out there that I need that I don't know about, wait a few days before you tell me. I'm still working through all the new technology/toys I recently purchased.

Thanks for all the help to contributors here.

Hi guys. My name is David and I'm from Germany. I apologize for my english, that's why I use Google Translator. I do not drive a ram, but a challenger. Have read everything about Alfaobd and the possibilities to make changes. Unfortunately I do not get my Drl activated on the Challenger. I also have an OBD LINK MX. My question to you, if someone can show his Bt_debug.log

My logfile from Dodge is always
build.prop Permisson denied

what is up with you?

David, I would think the best thing to do in your case would be to email the developer with your debug long. He would be the best bet in locating the issue you're experiencing.

It is on Alfaobd.com under the downloads. You can't see all the previous versions update notes but the I guess critical notes for each release is located just below the current version.

February 10th 2019: Android version 2.1.6.5

More support of non-PowerNet modules on different vehicles of MY2006-2017, various fixes

Well, I joined this forum mainly because of this thread.
AMAZING what y'all have figured out that can be done with AlphaOBD.
Mine main reason for looking at Alpha is the DRL turn on ability BUT, after reading through pages of Q$A it got me to wondering if anyone has found a way to change the number of turn signal blinks when you just "tip" the blinker lever? You know, it automatically blinks 3 times factory.
It sure would be nice to be able to increase this number to at least 6 or more for safe lane changes.

At this time we have not seen a setting that changes the amount of blinks for the one touch lane change.

@Ricks Ram
Thank you Sir.
With all of the information in this thread, I just thought it odd that my question was not one of them.
It would be awesome to get it to a decent lane change number of blinks.
I know here in Okla we're supposed to start signals before we change lanes, through the lane change and turn off after fully in the lane.
Not a clue why FCA chose to use 3 blinks for a lane change function..

Oh well, MAYBE someone will do some digging now and figure a way to change the number..

We have already tried to find a setting for it and it is not there so the digging has been done. The only option we have found with the tool is to turn it on or off. The blink count is not listed in the options menu. I am sure that the three blinks is programmed somewhere but the problem is finding it. I have looked with my other programming tool as well and it is not displayed with it either. I do agree 3 blinks is not enough. I would prefer at least 5 or 6.

Again, Thank you.
I must have missed any discussion on this subject.
Oh well..

Interestingly enough, my wife's Lexus can have the "quick flash" count configured through a similar setup (OBD interface + Carista app). I, too, would prefer 5 or 6 on my RAM. I believe her car is defaulted to 5 and I think thats just about right.

Keep an eye on the thread because it doesn't mean we won't eventually find it or the developer won't eventually add it if it's not already there. He is constantly updating and adding more features. The problem is if and when he does add that section or a way to adjust it We have no way of knowing he added it because he doesn't tell us what is in each and every update. we'll just have to end up finding it by searching through all the features.

Yes Sir,
I just did a quick Google search for changing the # of flashes and first thing that came up was the Carista app.
UNFORTUNATELY it seems to do what AlphaOBD does for us for almost ANY other brand of vehicle EXCEPT FCA Chrysler, Dodge, RAM.

I know Alexi asks for a lot of "Get System ID" dumps....when we run one of those dumps, is that actually outputting every single setting that is available? So could we look through that whole list and if it is NOT there, just assume we'll never be able to touch it?

I thought maybe he would use those dumps to determine if the app was missing a setting that is available.

This answers my question from earlier. There are no patch notes with the updates. Just have to play with what is available and see what works. On a side note I did ask him if he expected an iPhone version to be released and he said maybe closer to the 2nd part of the year.

Surprised to hear this seeing as how locked down and harder it is to develop for...or so I've been told.

Yeah he did say there had been some difficulties. But guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Thought I would also post some shots for the Windows people we have here. It is essentially the same. Instead of the symbols you get at the bottom of the screen on Android, in the Windows version it is a menu bar across the top.

Edit: If you have trouble connecting the first time like I did and it is giving you a COM error. Check the COM port number in Windows Device Manager. Once you have device manager pulled up you should see the following screen.

View attachment 136643

Expand "Ports (COM & LPT)

View attachment 136644

Take note of the ports yours has listed. There must be two COM ports created by Windows for the OBDLink interface for the incoming and outgoing. You need to select the outgoing port in the program (see the Start tab in advanced mode). Just try both ports, one of them should work. Alternatively you can check which port is outgoing in the Windows “Bluetooth devices”.

"The "Port" won't be there till it's created. Connect the OBD MX to the computer then check Device Manager for Bluetooth/COM port numbers." @crash68

I have a 2017, and I can't connect to the mxbluetooth. Also I don't have any of what you show on the first screen. Mine says 2013-2017 Powernet. I have it set to body computer, and have tried both coms listed in the device manager. Keeps telling me to check the baud rate for Elm7? Also in advanced mode, what do I use? I have 20 different listings for Bosh, and several other makes. Alfa build 2.065 Windows 7
