Well...

Maybe he was being sarcastic but I've been running the KO2's on mine for about 13k now and they are wearing fast. Granted, some of this is certainly my fault for pushing them a bit. But still I was surprised to see the tires were as quickly as they did. Almost as bad as the Bridgestone AT Revo 2's wear.

Strange. What i find odd is how drasticaly different the tire life reviews/opinions are on most tires. Some stay fairly similar but some are all over the board. Of course you will have tire followings on some forums that make them out to be better.... Or worse than they really are.

I also know that some people, not saying this about anyone on here as we dont know eachother, dont know their ass from their elbow when it comes to correct tire inflation and rotation... So theres that.

I do rotate, they are all wearing evenly. I was able to get the pressure threshold set to 55psi, and I usually run them around 60 now. They are not developing any strange wear patterns, just wearing down faster then I'd expect. Again, I certainly take blame to some extent. Still, they seem pretty soft by comparison to many of my past choices. My driveway is sloped and if I punch the gas hard up the hill I can actually see two black marks, even though I don't hear any tire spin.

Where did u come up with that pressure? Not saying it's wrong but curious. Are yours 65 psi max? I would think those ratings are similar to what I'm getting (toyo RT's) in which after very much research I decided to call toyo themselves in which they did there formula to figure out my tires both front and back need 41 psi for ride and longevity.

Max pressure is 80psi, I set them based upon the tire shop's recommendations (50-60psi). Then just paid attention to the wear patterns. Never thought of using a formula to calculate proper pressure. Would like to hear more about what parameters they used to calculate. Factory setting is close to 80psi, which I hated as it made for a much rougher ride.

Well I'm purchasing toyos as I said earlier. But Bfg will have a similar table to this https://toyotires2-1524598101.netdn...ication_of_Load_Inflation_Tables_20151020.pdf

After a good bit [emoji2][emoji379] I called toyo and they applied the formula for me and give me light and then max load pressures. 50-60 doesn't seem out of the realm with a 80 psi tire but sure maybe Somthing to investigate. If u can get away with 40-50 psi for a better ride and prolong the life of your tire why wouldn't u? Food for thought my friend.

I lowered my rear pressure to 60. 80 is way too high. Here is what I did....

I looked at the Firestone inflation tables and saw some interesting data.

First, at 80 psi the tires are rated for 3640 lbs. That's 7280 lbs for the rear axle. I don't see myself putting that kind of load on the rear axle. My RAWR is 6500. At 65 psi the load rating is 3195 lbs. So just a little under my RAWR.

I figured my weights, with family, cargo, trailer, everything and I'm safe at a bit under 55psi.

I think I found this on this forum at one point. Here is the load rating chart fi you would like to take a look.

the torque of a diesel sure will eat up tires fast....thats for sure.

I have my trail grapplers set at 66 psi cold. Mostly because I hate having the tpms chime at me every time I start up the truck and have to hit the steering wheel buttons to get rid of the message. I feel like it'll wear out those buttons.

If I could, I'd set them all the way down to 50 - 55 psi. Even at 66 psi the ride is pretty rough, but still a little better than the 75 psi from the dealership!!
