Getting impatient waiting for Bilstein to come off back order. I pondered some coil overs for a second until I saw the cost.

In my searching of the interwebs I came across these:

2011 Dodge Ram 1500, 4WD Pro Comp Pro Runner SS Shocks - Ride Height Adjustable Truck Shocks from Pro Comp Suspension - Monotube Nitrogen Gas Powered Shocks

Yes I know they are "not" Bilsteins. And they only have two settings. stock or 2.75". But with 15% off they are $178 shipped and in stock. I haven't seen any chatter on these and forgive me if I missed a thread on them.

Thoughts?

The link you supplied had about 14 reviews. Scroll down to the bottom of that link and read them. They seemed to be the typical I love them or I hate them, LOL. I havent heard anything bad about the Bilsteens, but the Bils seem to be about 50 dollars more for each front and about 30 dollars more for each rear shock.

Pro Comp is 4WheelParts brand. If I'm not mistaken these are their first foray into monotubes. Haven't heard anything bad about them. I just haven't heard too many good things about the 13's and '14's at 2.75'. That may be the downside. With the Bilsteins you could go to 2.1. Fox will be more expensive but you can also do them around the 2.1 and they will be in stock as well.

So far so good on my leveled '13. I've had a 2.5 leveling kit on my truck since I left the dealer 14 months ago. 9200 miles later I'm good to go. I just want to go with this style leveling kit. I had 5100s in my old 05 F150.

I've heard some of the early 2013's haven't had the balljoint issues. I thought I read someone's thread that used these and he didn't have anything bad to say. Said it rode nice and leveled out his truck.

I have a 2013 with Bilsteins set at 2.1" and I haven't had any issues so far (knock on wood). The shocks have 9,000 miles on them too. I also do little to no offroading.

I have Procomps on my '13... No complaints here, but I don't have anything to compare them to. No ball joint issues so far, but I only have ~4,300 miles on the truck and the shocks.

Looks great to me. What size tires? With my leveling kit I had to add a rear 3/4" spacer. Yours looks great.

Thanks! I plan on lifting 4-6" and going to 35s sometime within the next year, but for now I like it! Tires are 305/55/20. I couldn't remember the wheel backspacing to save my life!1392167140.jpg

Yes they make a mono tube for the rear. It's the pro comp pro runner series. I can't tell you the cost though.
