I drive a 2017 Tradesman 2WD and I plan on lifting it within the next couple months. I’m getting a Maxtrac 6.5” lift kit but I don’t know whether to get it with Maxtrac shocks or Fox shocks. Anybody have some advice?

I heard Fox, Bilstein, and ProComp were all made by the same company. I personally bought ProComp shocks and struts for my truck and I’m loving the ride.
The only way I can see it happening is if outsourcing occurs. Only way to 100% confirm would be an ex-employee from the company to advise us.
The cynic in my wants to say that you were probably told that by one of those guys that believes everything is owned by a few monster companies. I love talking to those guys, usually also conspiracy theorists. Silly people. While it can happen in some industries, from my research, these three are entirely different companies.
I found a few people, a decade ago, that claimed Pro Comp shocks were made by Edelbrock for them, but even if that was (or still is) true, that still makes them separate from Fox (owned by Compass Diversified Holdings) and Bilstein (owned by ThyssenKrupp).
I have FOX 2.0 front struts on my Ram. Replaced a set of Bilstein 4600s, as I couldn't tell the difference between them and my factory units. Still have the Bilsteins on the back, haven't got around to ordering the rear Fox shocks yet. The front definitely is improved over factory and the Bilsteins.
I think they were well worth it.I think @Graygoose has fox with his maxtrac

I do not think FOX, Bilstein, and ProComp are made by the same company. Maybe Bilstein makes ProComp. I doubt ProComp makes Bilstein, Bilstein is a huge company. I believe Fox is made by Fox.I heard Fox, Bilstein, and ProComp were all made by the same company. I personally bought ProComp shocks and struts for my truck and I’m loving the ride.
