Axle and Differential

What is the manufacturer of the axle and differential for 1997 Dodge Ram 1500? I have a 318 '97 1500 and I want a front and rear locker or to replace stock axles with Dana 60's with Detroit lockers. Anyone have any knowledge of this? Also, I want to redo all the bearings and races on the axle, differential and anywhere else where would be one.

What size tire are you running? and why do you want lockers? our fronts are Dana 44 and our rears are a Chrysler 9 1/4..

The truck has 35'' tires and I want a locker because I'd like to go river wheeling (diving down shallow, rocky rivers) but I don't want to lose traction and have to have a tow truck winch me out of a river.

good reasons bud just checkin on it lol id personally also incorporate winches as well if its too serious.. i plan on adding a front receiver and running plugs to both ends for a winch so i can go back if needed

Yup, Dana 44 front and Chrysler Corporate 9.25 rear.

Ive never heard of them im thinking on going with a 12.5k badlands from harbor freight.. for about 350 it cant hurt to try it

I have the Tuff Stuff Xtreme 12.5K and I've had zero issues with it. Then again I've only used it 5 times, but I would definitely trust it over the cheap HF winches.
