Back up camera Issues,keep a eye on it..

My back up camera has had slight issues as of late.When I put truck in reverse camera goes completely black.Restart truck problem resolved.Made appointment today at ram dealer they stated it has been a on going issue with some.Being replaced under warranty but cameras are on back order.Keep a eye on yours if you have this issue.My ram is 2016 2500 model..

It’ll be the wiring harness or a loose connection. They’ll replace the camera too. A tap on the tailgate will resolve the issue temporarily, you may even occasionally see a screen that looks like an 80’s video game.

Common issue - hope you’re under warranty.

I never had an issues with mine until after my tailgate had to be removed to repair a dent.

It took several months after until the sporadic glitches started to occur.

Loose connection probably. There’s threads all over the forum about this. I did a couple in a RAM I recently traded.
