I haven't really studied my oil pan enough yet know if one of those ball valves will stick down to low but I was thinking about it. Perhaps people here like them?

I'm wondering if once its threaded into the oil pan does it stick up inside the oil pan couple 16th which would actually block some of the oil from draining?

Also is there any popular oil filter relocation kit that is tried and true?

Thanks

Even if you did get one of these, you'd also need a bushing to make it fit properly.

Could you explain why you would need a bushing to make it work? I purchased a Fumoto engine oil drain valve that I haven't installed yet and was wondering about the bushing comment. Thanks

Twelver: I have used the Fumoto on all our autos for the past 20 years... You get all you need with the order! All you really have to do is order what style you want! Be it a short nipple/long nipple/Elbo---->This might be what he is calling adapters?

As for the brass comment! I have had not 1 issue with the Brass over the 20 years I have used the Fumoto Valve! Either Valves will give Years of worry free service! They make Oil Changes so Much Easier!!! I don't Dread Them any Longer! After the Oil Filter Relocation Kit installed-->Oil Changes will be a Snap! {Very Little Mess}!

RoadKing: I did alot of research and question asking on this kit. The only real concern is keeping the oil psi as close to the stock psi which is 52-54 at 65mph and 42-46 at idle as possible--> so I will mount this kit as close as I can to the stock location using the shortest hose lengths possible. I did change to braided hoses to help with durability. I will mount the filter level->No Angle!

I have the kit but I am waiting to install it with my summer oil change! Don't like doing things in the cold if I don't have to! Here is the link to the thread where I talked about the kit...

the ones he has linked to are for AC lines, so there would be different thread sizes. (Metric sized plug, imperial sized valve)
As for the brass comment! I have had not 1 issue with the Brass over the 20 years I have used the Fumoto Valve! My small block chevy 305 & 350 come from the factory with brass fittings attached to the front and rear of the block for sensors and never had an issue! The 350 is still on the road today with almost 200K miles and still has all the factory fittings-->Some are Brass.
Just personal experience is all.
Our farm equipment used to have brass fittings, and those would start passing fluid after a couple years, from the brass expanding and contracting and eventually messing up the seat. We swapped all them over to Stainless or Carbon Steel and haven't have an issue since.
based on that, I've always used Stainless for anything I've ever swapped out for vehicles, including my quad and skidoo.

I have also used Fumoto valves on multiple vehicles for many years with bo issues and will be installing one on my new to me Ram during the next oil change. I like being able to attach a hose to it, much less chance of making a mess.
I have one on my 2007 Wrangler which has an oil pan skid and it makes oil changes much easier.
