.....FAIL, What a pain, every thing wen on smooth except for 2 broken header bolts, and the bolt on the driverside, all the way back above the starter, HOW the HELL did any one get that in, i cant even touch it let alone tighten a bolt. ANy tips for that. i got every thing else on including the rest of the bolts, i tightened the rest of the bolts down in the torque pattern to 28 ftlbs, and i couldnt see or feel any leaks, but its hard with tthe air for the fan. id realy like to get that bolt in there, but after 6 strait hours, 2 broken bolts and a headache later, i gave up last night............................HELP

Have you taken out the front wheel well liner? Shouldn't be a problem with it removed. Maybe remove the front wheel too? I remember I lifted the front en of my truck up and removed the front wheels and I could reach everything. Good luck man!

i had the liner and the wheels off, but on the bbks the back pipe has a upward loop that comes almost a inch away from the back lower bolt, and goin up from underneath the starter is in the way, and the top is even closer. Im at a loss here, i cant take it off cause the gasket is already crush sealed

Hmmm that sounds kinda tough. Are you just trying a rachet and socket? Have you tried a universal joint, or an open-ended wrench?

Post up a pic so we can see what your looking at, maybe we'll have a better idea if we can see for ourselves.

I'm guessing here, but can you reach the bolt from underneath? Maybe slot the header flange bolt hole. Looks like the header will need to be unbolted and the bolt inserted in the flange and then threaded into the hole a head of the other bolts. Maybe you will need a shorter bolt for that hole. Just throwing ideas at you. Good luck.

I had to go in from the bottom. I cannot remember exactly how, but it you move around you will get to a place you can reach up in and lean you head a certain way to see the hole.

Dang, makes me wanna run out and start my install ... NOT! (I suppose I need to decide which header to purchase as I still have Edelbrock questions in another thread) Glad you got it worked out. It's nice that everyone comes to your aid which is the great thing about this site.
