BBK Throttle Body

Hello all!

New to the forums. I have a question about the BBK throttle body. I see that their throttle body is for 2005-2012 hemi engines. I have a 2003 hemi dodge ram. From what I have read it seems that the only difference between a 2003-2004 hemi throttle body and the 2005-2012 throttle body is the connector change. Has anyone tried putting an adapter wiring harness on the 2003-2004 harness to allow for the BBK throttle body? Thanks for everyone's time.

I think 05-12 the TPS is incorporated within the TB itself and not on the previous models

BBK are a straight through design, might make the engine not perform as well, go either to discount auto performance, or moes, they can both help you out.

Yes the plugs where changed for a reason. I Might have My 03 Ported TB available soon for sale and will post accordingly in the For Sale section when I am ready since I was already nicely warned about a previous feeler thread. The TB came off this weekend, very clean and has a knife edge which can be swapped with stock one if you don't want to run it with that. More to Follow.

Like said, the electronics are also completely different, so you will need an 03 specific TB. On top of that, I don't recommend the BBK unless you have extensive internal mods and custom tuning to adjust for the increased airflow at idle that their straight bore gives.
