After the past year or so ive switched from running just 87 oct to 89
And ive noticed that when i hammer on it that the belt will squeel when it shifts 1-2 and 2-3. Anyone else have this issue? My set up this past year has just been exhaust. CAI and a canned tune off of the diablo. About a month or so ago i had finally contaced hemifever and got the 87/89, 91 and 94 tune when i had finally made the switch to full time 89. Is this as simple as a bit of adjustment on the belt? A new belt? Or contact sean to get some tweaks

Bigger pulley on your alternator might help, but will probably lower the alt output at lower RPM.

When I had my Z28, it had belt squeal after I installed a shift kit. The hard shift caused it. I replaced the belt with a Goodyear Gaterback belt as advised on the camaro boards and all was quiet again.

I put a Gatorback on mine because is started to squeal on damp mornings and it hasn't made a sound since.
