I haven't seen much on these so I thought I would pass this along. If you have a lifted truck with a top on it these are awesome. It would never fail that whatever was in my bed would end up towards the front of the truck, where I had to fold the cover and climb into the bed just to retrieve it. Since I installed these, I can now unload my whole truck bed full of tools without even getting in the bed. Also great for keeping gas cans and coolers from sliding around.

I put some in today. I love them so far. My tire step fits perfectly in them Plus, the grab bar doubles as a cargo bar.

My paint job is pitiful, but I wanted to get some beginner on them for now. I'll redo them later. I also added the door edge trim to the top to prevent a sliced knuckle or hand.

I just use the 2x6 board in the slots before the wheel well. I also use the milk crates for things like a 20lb propane tank. Keep bungees around to use on the d clamps aswell. Beats crawling in under the tonneau cover to retrieve things.

I paid $14 each for those HF cargo bars. Cheap and they work well.

Yeah I use a ratcheting cargo bar too. Got it at Home Depot for like $20. I’m thinking about getting some swing boxes for my tools but kinda pricey so still on the fence about it.

I use the same thing with my camper shell. $100 for OEM, like new on Craigslist.

Thanks for posting. I just ordered and saved $11 with Honey. This is the homemade storage I've been using. The metal one will save some weight.

I, too, use the milk crates chained to the bed tie downs. Ropes, bungees, and more chains affixed to the milk crate for extra tie downs.

Chains on the opposite side tie down to run through gas can handles etc.
