Bilstein 5100 Issues, I'm just an idiot.

Alright, so after my springs bending one compressor, we finally got a larger compressor and got them installed.

Problem is, the springs are pretty crooked on the strut, there's an obvious clunk especially when turning and the suspension compressing (spring contacting the bucket?), and it rides like a pogo stick.

All this, as well as being pretty nose high when set to the 2.1 setting.

Anyone have any ideas? I can take pictures of em if needed, got em installed about 2 hours ago and it hasn't been aligned yet.

You're probably not going to know anything until the alignment.

Appears as though I have the OEM lower spring cup mounted upside down. Welp, guess its getting torn apart again.

Yea, I'm an idiot, completely my fault.

After taking 6 hours to install I was kinda over it. The longest part was finding a spring compressor after the first one broke.

Fixed now, took 45 minutes from pulling in the shop, taking it all down and disassembly and reassembly of the strut.

Its not hard man, more so having the right tools for the job. I luckily have a few friends that have a shop along with a lift and thousands in snap on tools. I worked at a 4x4 shop for a bit when I was younger. Its just learning by experience and having the right equipment.

Though working on vehicles can be some of the most frustrating things you'll ever do.

that may have helped the nose high, am I right?

Absolutely, with the lower spring seat being flipped upside down, I gained much more lift then I should have. Complete oversight but knew it wasn't right at all when it touched ground. I was sitting at the complete maximum droop possible even with the truck on the ground.

Haha. I'll change my oil and do a few other things. But I got my truck so I can hunt and fish. Not to do work on it. But good on you for doing your own work.
