Absolutely, Brother!

My $0.02 on this is that you send these reports to your insurance company and ensure that you indicate possible cascading damages to your engine and possible transmission in the headline and request that it is put on record in your claim file ;)

This is real scientific info that supports your claims and it is on you now to ensure that your insurance company acknowledges and accepts this information now before they write your claim off entirely.

Were I you, Brother, I would take a sample of your transmission fluid, too and send it in to Blackstone for analysis as well. Cover all your bases, Brother!

Absolutely, and thanks for that.

Lol, and again ... I've seen folks post up their trucks here in the RAMforums that were wrecked and had been totaled with FAR less damage than mine ... Lol, lol, lol.

Well, maybe the good thing is that I have the Blackstone Labs oil analyst reports on my truck since new @ 3000 mile oil change intervals ...hmm.
Are you still using Redline for the 3000 miles?

For my work, I do an average of 5000 kms (approx 3000 miles) every 1 1/2 months (highway and city driving). Since it is quite frequent, I've gone down the line of using a cheaper oil.
I tried Valvoline All Climate 5w30 and 5w40. 5w30 was OK, but not entirely sure. On 5w40, I did hear the engine lifters get louder towards the 2000km mark. When that happened, I added a can of Liquimoly MoS2 and LM Hydraulic Lifter Fluid and that quietened everything down.
Currently on Havoline Pro DS 5w30 with no additives. So far everything seems good. Looking at oil reports of Havoline, it has more moly than the Valvoline All Climate. Let's see how it goes.

I've used Red Line 5w/30 the on the five recent oci's listed on my recent Blackstone Labs report.

All oci's have been @3000 mile intervals, with the previous oil used(when my truck was new)was Pennzoil Ultra/Platinum/5w/20 and 30 with MOPAR MO339 oil filters, eventually changing to @HEMIMANN's non-favorite "rock catcher" oil filter, Purolator BOSS PBL-2465, lol, bless his heart, I'm still not a 'hunderd' percent on the FRAM FE oil filters ...they visually look good, (I've cut them open for my personal viewing and have shared pics over on the oil filter thread, but Im gonna opt out on those and use the Purolator BOSS ...

btw, I'm not a brand fanboy, I'm a data fanboy, whether that data comes from a rare independent test lab, or anything our members can provide.

The Ascent Lab test speaks volumes - if yer gonna use a rock catcher, you might as well put an empty can in there. Most engine wear is caused from particles in a narrow size range, you can look it up, of something like 5-20 microns.

Who cares if your engine lasts 100,000 miles or 200,000 miles or if it loses power and mileage faster than it could have? Me, for one. If all this takes is a little data and a few bucks more a couple of times per year.

Especially when new vehicles are unreliable and overexpensive.

Latest report. PUP 0W40 with 16OZ of Lubegard Biotech. RP 20-500 filter. 5K OCI. About 4K miles of this was towing my boat or 21' enclosed trailer both of which are around 3500 lbs. Neither have a high frontal load compared to the truck camper. Prior to this result was contemplating going to a high mileage oil or Redline or HPL as my PUP stash is gone. Think I'm just going to stay the course. What say you???

Looks good, but the additive numbers are a little puzzling. I'd get another uoa in 5k miles with the same oil 0e40 pup just to figure why. You had exactly 7 qrt pup 0w40 and biotech and nothing else?

Same recipe inclusive of the 70K analysis. The one at 65K was just PUP. All other with 16 OZ of LubeGard & RP 20-500 filter. Was using Wix XP prior.

Two recent UOA's on my 1500 now with 156k miles.

First UOA at 84,500 miles was on different truck using Amsoil SS 5W20 so please disregard results.

Second UOA with PUP and Lubegard had a SI fuel treatment prior to oil dump. UOA Ram 150 PUP Lubegard.jpg

UOA Ram 1500 Valvoline R&P.jpg

I have a second run of Valvoline R&P in now currently with about 3k miles.

wow very impressive. So the restore and protect has that moly or did you also have lubegard with that interval?

PUP 5w30 went with a lower visc plus biotech might even thin that further.

My plan was to run two Valvoline RP at 4k miles OCI then switch to HPL PCMO 5W30 based on other members results using this oil. Extend OCI to 7,500 miles and let her ride. However, if the second run of Valvoline RP comes in with similar results, I may just keep running this oil in the Hemi and use the HPL in my sons car. I planned on cutting open the oil filter and inspecting but t it went MIA. Plan to cut open the next filter for inspection as soon as it is removed and will be happy to post pictures.

In case anyone is interested, running FE2 filter on both UOA and currently.
Nice to see, still want to try this on my ram that is prone is knock on different filters. The problem is some skell keeps switching fe2 filter at Walmart with super tech then buys the super tech box with the fe2 in it. I think 6 mos in jail minimum if they catch this idiot.
