I recently purchased Bilstein 6112 for my 2018 1500 Bighorn 4x4 Crew Cab with the Pentastar 3.6L V6. To my dismay, I don't believe they fit this truck with this engine per a phone call with Bilstein which they noted they can't guarantee ride quality. Anyone have any experience with the Bilstein 6122 with the 3.6L V6? Interestingly, the 6112s fit the V8 and V6 diesel engine.....

Well, if the maker says they don't fit I am thinking you aren't going to have very many people pipe up with info on using them in your specific application. If it is a case of they do fit but the valving may be wrong for the weight of your motor, that would be the whole ride quality bit. So basically both the diesel and the 8 are heavier than your motor, I didn't look up by how much. Knowing that difference should give you a pretty good idea of what the ride is likely to be. A few hundred pounds, won't make a lot of difference because things like a winch, stuff in the box could easily offset. If we are talking closer to 1000 pounds then they may be a tad on the stiff side.

Its around 150lbs difference if my memory serve me right. So pretty much nothing to worry about if you ask me. The 6112s rock by the way !

They fit. Maybe figure the weight difference and guess that you may ride 1/4-1/2” higher than advertised. In my configuration I have 4wd 5.7 quad cab but I have extra weight on my truck so I’m figuring 1/4-1/2” lower than advertised whenever I get around to purchasing a set

The EcoDiesel engine is about 150lbs heavier than the Hemi, it's partly why the GVWR is 50lbs more that the Hemi

I think I will try the clip 6 setting and hope it goes to 2.8". I have a Crew Cab.

As mentioned they will fit. The spring rate is for a heavier truck but not enough to worry about. It might just ride a bit stiffer than if it was in a V8 or diesel RAM but it wont be harsh. We have had a few penstar customers run these and they had no complaints

Thank you for the input! Any suggestion on clip setting to get a 2.8” lift with the Pentastar V6 w/ crew cab? I have a 3" factory rake.

perch 6 should get you close. I would recommend aftermarket UCA's if you plan to go 2.8" or close to that. We recommend Zone, they are very strong and angle correcting. They will get your front geometry back where it needs to be after lifting the front that high.

message me if you would like a quote on them. Many members here run them and love them!

I just went to Rockauto.com. Every single strut has exact same part number for all three motors. I also looked at Mopar, and the same shock fits all three. The springs, though there are several part numbers, all list all three motors.
