Hey guys so after alot of searching ive come up empty handed. So a few old thread here had what i wanted but links dont work or websites are closed so after a few hours im just starting a thread for some help.

Im looking for braided nylon or steel pvc lines. I want to install a catch can but want good eye candy lines haha.

Red prefered. Cant seem to find anything in red lines. nor correct fitting black braided ect.

If some of yall can post some links to lines that will work for a catch can and i want the braided style red would be best but im open to black braided.

Let me know as i saw some used speed logic but when i go to there site i see nothing in red like a few guys here used.

Nor found anything really lol. Also if its in canada even better.

Do they come pre cut and ready to install or will i need to cut them and fit ends?

Sounds like a DIY job. Grab some plumbing hose that is braided and throw on some Red VHT Engine paint with a blast of their clear coat or stove paint that Burla suggested. Trick is finding the correct size and just nicely cutting the ends. I have been meaning to do this, just never got around to it.

May have to try it out.

You need hose that will handle oil and most lines to catch cans are 1/2".

FYI, You do not need high pressure hose.

Braided hose lines are not that hard to find. You will need end connections. 1/2" hose uses an 8AN spec fitting.

https://www.amazon.com/EVIL-ENERGY-...il+hose+with+connectors&qid=1594180050&sr=8-3

You can probably find a smaller length kit or hose and fittings separately, at your local auto parts store.

Great thank you all. Anyone with the billet tech catch can what bracket system does it come with? I know there braided hoses ask if its standard or Z bracket or fender.
Im guessing the standard bracket location?

I bought a cheap catch can just off amazon but now thinking i should just go with a good brand one and be done with it and then the braided lines they sell to go with the can might be the way to go haha

Honestly I used a hot water hose from a washer on my very first CC. The hose they had was a Cheap garden type thing that was so flimsy, I wonder why they sent it. Then again, for $30 you get what you pay for lol.anyways I had no issues with that hose over roughly 7 months. I then decided the CC was a good investment and went to BT.

So i have a cheap CC theres no stuff inside its empty can with the baffle part at the top. Would a better brand like billet tech catch can work alot better?

Moroso also makes a high quality catch can,if you're looking at upgrading. It's a better can then the BT can in my opinion, and i've had both.Get the bigger Moroso can, they make 2 and you want the bigger one on a truck.Google Moroso air/oil seperators as that's the proper name for a catch can.UPR also makes a high quality can, that's better then the Billet Tech can. The BT can is a decent can,but it doesn't compare to either the Moroso or UPR cans. The BT can seems to have developed a cult following, lol

Got my UPR can for $129 on Amazon.
Comes with a nice Z bracket & braided hoses.
If i go with a upr, is it good idea to get drain line kit? or the magnetic drain plug?

The moroso can here in canada is $250 and the upr is going to be $220 with the magnetic plug and braided hoses.

I had the billet but didnt really care for the position so i then switched it out with a JLT which mounts by the radiator on the passenger side. The only problem is the JLT is much smaller than the billet.

While we on the subject of hose candy what other lines under the hood are simple to replace? Really interested in the braided hose but probably look silly if those are the only two hoses braided.

I saw 3/4" black split braided wire loom at Pep Boys that looks like the UPR hose braiding.
It's designed for bundled wires but would work on hoses without removing them.
Amazon sells it too.

Get the drain kit ,there's not alot of magnetic wear material in an engine or the pcv system for a magnetic plug to catch

You don't need a magnet or drain.
I can empty my UPR can in 30 seconds just unscrewing it & dumping it out.
Would take longer to hook up a drain hose & bucket.

Leave the hose on it permanently. My drain hose off my Moroso can runs under the truck and i just throw a catch basin under it ,and flip the valve open to drain it.Not a fan of unscrewing and rethreading anything aluminium anymore times then absolutely needed, threaded aluminium loves to gall the threads.
