Cargo area lights - LEDs dimly lit at all times?

I just swapped my 3rd brake light and cargo area bulbs with LEDS. I’m now noticing that the cargo area lights are dimly lit at all times when the lights are on... what the f??

They are designed for hologens, the truck sends small amount of power to check bulb if its burned, this is what you are seeing.

I thought only the newer trucks requiring canbus did that
