Longtubes if you want the most gains....

Do you want to keep your current exhaust setup? If so, just stay with a y pipe setup. It also makes adding longtubes easier being a direct bolt on. But either way is good....

Stainless Works & American Racing offer there's with y pipes in catted or non catted versions. Stainless Works also offers a performance connect version for their dual exhaust catback. JBA still hasn't released y pipes for their longtubes...

Spend the money and get long tubes. ARH are pricey but good quality. SW has a good setup and you can get a complete exhaust system from them (headers and full exhaust, all bolt up in 2 options, true duals or single pipe to split duals).

If you do shorties, you will save a little but the gains wont be there like they would with LT Headers. Also, while you save a little, replacing the y-pipe will probably run about $100+ installed so consider that. With LT headers, you get a new y-pipe.

We received the only 5 that they built yesterday. They said it would be about 1-2 months before they have any more ready for us. The Y-pipe will be $259 shipped.

I have not put these on the site yet because 3 of the 5 are already sold, and I don't want people placing order and waiting when we wont have more for another month or so.

The Y-pipe looks really nice for the money. I know they will fit the 5 and 6 speed 09-14 trucks, but we are test fitting 1 on an 8 speed this weekend.

Yes it does. All the longtube setups on the market right now run the y-pipe under the transmission pan.

Are they going to make a version with high flow cats?

JBA's will only be offered without cats for the time being. They have not mentioned anything to us about offering them with cats.

Well finally we get to see something from JBA. I remember asking back in late July/early August...

Do you think there's enough room to put some cats before the O2 bungs? Out here in Odessa/Midland TX area. I need cats or they won't pass me for inspection and I would hate to ruin that y pipe.

If you have a HF tune, Sean can tune out the o2 sensors.

No room to weld cats into the JBA Y-pipe, but you should be able to put them in between the JBA Y and the header collector. Just weld 3 bolt flanges onto both sides of the cats, and they would bolt right in place. I have not confirmed fitment like this yet, but looking under my own truck, I think it would clear. I would like to test fit this before guaranteeing it fits though.

Otherwise, like mentioned, Sean can disable your rear o2 sensors if running without cats. Even high flow cats will trigger a CEL for the rear o2 sensors, so Sean always disables the rear o2's when running longtubes.

That's a nice idea, I wouldn't have thought about that. If you do give this a shot, definitely post up your results.
