i agree with the statement about the cutout. if you're wanting the loud exhaust sound, and still pass inspections, the cutout is the way to go. plus being able to open and close it with the touch of a button is awesome.

Believe what? That the cats made the difference or that weather/track conditions/etc. made the difference?

Well when both trucks ran it was pretty much the same weather condition so yes I do Belive the cats made the Differnce
And the reason I Implied no cats cause he debating it
He knows removing his cats voids his Warrenty so if you no the Consequence why ask? I know he's well aware that removing his cats will void his warranty
But some people don't care about there Warrenty
On the other hand the only reason mine are still on is Beacuse of Warrenty
After seeing what I saw between does 2 trucks I would love to remove mine
But the way I drive me truck I no I'm going to brake Somthing and it just aint worth it to me....maybe it's worth it to the op...not sure

I gave my Opinion based on what I saw what removing the cats do....
But correct me if I'm wrong please....but does removing your cats make your truck slower???

I never said anything about making it slower. I'm simply saying removing the cats alone is not enough to gain .4 seconds in a 1/4 mile pass.
It's not possible....end of story.

More than 2 years ago i removed the cats on my 06 ram i thought they where blocked and didn't find cats in my country that time so i kept truck without cats for a while i hated the loud sound plus take off became slower lost low end it gained tiny little speed on top high end (doesn't worth it ) , then the cats flow good they got wider holes than other trucks ( compared the inside of cats with the avalanche my brother used to have ) Plus i have additional custom tunes with rear o2 deleted for my 2 trucks and no inspection in my country though i will not take cats off because in my opinion and after i tried its not worth it,,

Just wanted to share with you and of course every one can do anything he wants with his truck up on his own responsibility

Well I thought we might collaborate and put an end to any questions with your truck and my backing to make it happen....I guess not...seems easier to blindly believe a hundred variables with no verifiable data.
If you change your mind let me know...my offer will stand.
It doesn't have to be permanent...just throw in some test pipes and put your cats back in afterward.
I'm sure there are many members here who would thank you for the use of your truck to prove and/or disprove the theory.

I'd do it myself but I don't have a single stock part left in my exhaust so it wouldn't be valid.
