Changing Interior LED Door Handle and Storage Colors

Hoping to get some answers on how to change your lights in the interior of the doors.

My 2014 CC Ram 1500 Limited has the factory blue and would like to change it to red.

Has anyone been able to change this?

You would need to verify what voltage the current ones are being supplied, I'm guessing it's going to be 12V but they could also be 5V. Then it's a matter of finding a LED to retrofit into the current locations

Thank you for the information I’ll have to look into that.

Im guessing my local dealership may be able to help with finding out the voltage with my VIN?

They'll probably stare at you like your speaking some foreign language and possibly give you some BS answer.
The factory only offers those in blue, your going to have to custom make what your looking for.
To find out for sure what voltage those are, you'll want to pull the inside doorskin off and check with a volt meter.
Take a look at where those LEDs are now to see what you'll need to install red ones.

The lights in the door panels, (storage bin and handle), at least on my truck, use an LED Driver which slips over a rod, and the rod lights up.

The rod is what gives it the color, and not the LED. The rods are "side glow" fibre optic. You'll need to measure the diameter, but I've seen several places on the 'Net that sell side glow fibre optic rods and you can get them in different colors, blue, light blue, red, green, white etc. Sorry I don't have a link to them.
