checked codes got the following, P0700,P0750,P0760,P0846P0871,P0876,P0988 could this indicate a bad
TCM. or should I try solenoids first.

P0750 Shift Solenoid A
P0760 Shift Solenoid C
P0846 Trans Fluid Press Sens/Switch B Circ Range/Perf
P0871 Trans Fluid Press Sens/Switch C Circ Range/Perf
P0876 Trans Fluid Press Sens/Switch D Circ Range/Perf
P0988 Trans Fluid Press Sens/Switch E Circ Range/Perf

Sounds like you've made that RFE quite unhappy. If you happen to have a spare TCM lying around you could swap it and see what happens (not likely of course). Does it still function or is it in limp mode?

Have you attempted to erase the DTC's to see if they come back?

If you clear the DTC's and they come right back on the next key cycle then we can assume they are hard fault codes.

Have you noticed and drivability issues? Taking longer than normal to upshift or downshift? Delayed engagement from Park to Reverse/Drive?

Is the torque converter clutch engagement normal or has the TCM disabled TCC engagement?

What is the condition of the fluid?

Did you drive through high water?

Lemme know what find.
