I have 2011 Ram 2500 4x4 and when I come to a stop the truck makes aloud clunk sound in the front end. It does it when the truck shifts down from 1st to 2nd. The truck has 71,000 miles on it. Back in Sept 2015 the truck went to the dealership and the dealership replace the whole front diff because to much play in the outer bearing on the ring and pinion. The truck only does it occasionally. It doesnt happen all the time, but it is noticeable.

When did this concern start occurring? If it has only been doing this since your front diff replacement, I would suggest bringing it back to that servicing dealership for a diagnosis.

Is it a metal clunk or a weird noise? Mine was doing this randomly on a quick stop... I eventually realized it was when I had a half tank of gas... all the gas was just flying forward in the tank and thats all it was... never on full... or less than a 1/4 tank. Only was happening to me on abrupt stops tho.
