Or remove the hoses off the degas /overflow bottle, and use a pressure washer to wash it out

So, I could in theory drain some on the overflow, Then add the RMI, then top off with new or drained coolant. After that just run it like normal. From time to time take a look at the overflow and clean the junk that might accumulate in it. that's it? that's the whole process?

You add the RMI-25 to the radiator. Overflow tank is just that - an add-on thermal expansion and contraction tank that they used to build into the radiator top tank, but it costs more than an add-on plastic jug.

If you put the goo into the jug it won't all get into the cooling system.

Yes RMI 25 is a leave in product, read RMI 25 page and see what other benefits it does. And that is it, if you have gunk in overflow, take it out, RMI 25 traps it in Overflow, if you have nothing in overflow, your system is good, no slime.

Pressurized even better since that tank is always moving coolant, more then non pressurized.

So...I go to spike my 6.4 Hemi engine coolant with an annual dose of RMI-25, and there's no radiator cap - it's a cross-flow aluminum radiator.

Ok, fine - that's common these days. So I look for the thermostat housing - it's buried down into the coolant pump assembly, there's no cap - it's inside a casting with no access (replaces as an assembly).

Ok, fine - go find the expansion tank - it's mounted high on the firewall above the rest of the system (where it should be fore self-burping). But there's no other fill access!!

How in the world do you introduce an additive into the coolant circuit? I was gonna suck out an equivalent quantity of coolant from a radiator / thermostat cap - there isn't one!

Yeah, it is. I looked at it - the cap is a pressure cap. I guess I just don't know how the damn system works as there is an expansion tank with two small hoses attached next to it. I also parked a big ass S&B air intake in front of it, makes it hard to see.

Anyway, thanks - it had to be a pressurized cap as there was no where else to put it. FYI - on our Mazda, it's under the noise cover. WTF happened to just a radiator with a cap? Yeah, I get that a big aluminum rad is cheaper than a smaller brazed copper rad, and cross flow is more efficient than vertical flow, but did they have to make everything else goofy?

I'll try sucking coolant out of the pressure tank and adding the additive. Hopefully it doesn't just sit there and gets mixed into the system. Or I could drain out a gallon and add it back on top of the additive, I guess.

And so, I sucked out 8 oz coolant from the pressurized plastic coolant top tank and added the 8 oz of RMI-25.

Ran around town with truck today, indeed it mixed as if it were an integral top tank. Interesting. Sucking out 8 oz of coolant is good, I think, it maintains coolant level where it's supposed to be on the plastic tank. Not sure what difference it makes if it's overfilled as the coolant doesn't really get above 210-200F....i.e., doesn't need more expansion space.

I just ordered an 8oz. bottle for my '15 SLT 5.7. Won't get here for about 10 days, We will see what/how it does.

It's supposed to clean internals and improve heat transfer. That would be a very good result, IMO.

Yes - some of you guys posted studies with before and after pics. Hemi's really need it with their tiny heater cores and lines.

RMI 25 in my old ‘14 produced some slimey goo on the radiator cap and on the reservoir dipstick shortly after I added it. I would wipe them off periodically for a few weeks afterwards. I assume the goo was the bad stuff settling out of the system.

Never had any cooling system issues.
