First mod I did to the truck. Had the tailgate assist on my 14 silverado from the factory and wondered why Ram didn't do it from the factory so when i heard of these i immediately bought it.

I know. My dad had it on his 14 High Country. I'm fixing to order him one for his 15' 2500 he just got. Since the Chevy spoiled him.

I've had mine on over a month now and love it. I gorilla taped the screw and the slack adjuster. Never had an issue since.

I've had two of em...one on my 04 and one on my 16...not one issue and I think it's a GREAT add-on especially for the price.

I'm the same way and it only took 20 mins tops with double and triple checking each step.

I put the same on my new 2016 2500 6.4L along with the amp bed step.




I had to have this step, on my other 2500 I was always jumping up on the top bumper to get up in the bed so I bought this, they have a $50 dollars rebate on them now.

Have had them on my past three trucks and really like them. The previous two were on F150's (2011 & 2013) and I had a bit of paint scrub on one of them.

When I put one on my 2500 I put on the plastic piece they provide with the kit over my tailgate cable but it was starting to scrub on the tailgate so I pulled it off. Much better with no scrub. Interesting because they tell you you must use the supplied piece for the tailgate cable or you'll have binding issues. Not so on my truck.

Same issue with the paint scrub but otherwise love the tailgate assist. I'll try pulling the plastic piece and keep an eye out for the cable binding up.
