When I first opened the box and saw the manufacturing location, I thought oh $hit..I was fore warned so let’s put the proof in the pudding about after market parts. I’m going to give them a chance. We will see what the tuning results show. I hope I’m not disappointed. IMG_9056.jpegIMG_9055.jpegIMG_9058.jpegIMG_9056.jpeg

My plate is loaded this weekend on the Ram. Things to do include:
New coil packs.
New plugs.
New throttle body.
Upgrade the TB to CAI filter connection tube to 4".
New ECM.
Write new pretune to ECM to support Demon 170 TB.
Reinstall 180* T-Stat.
Clean O2's.
Check headers and exhaust set up to torque spec's.
Try to install new fuel gauge sensor If I have any time left. Probably a next week end project.

I hope all goes smoothly and can't wait to see how she runs!

Well this will take next weekend + to complete. I had to do quite a bit of modding. MMX had told me that they have not tried it a Ram yet so they were not sure of the fit. I found out that if they machined the TB side to rotae 45* counter clockwise, it should fit with ease. Then there was the CAI mods. But I made it work and with the pre tune, she's running sooth as silk.

I also found out the Ripp coils seem to be fine. I ran out of time to get cylinders #6 & 8 installed but so far, no misfire on the Ripps.

The bay will get cleaned when work is complete, Lol.

I finally got around to replacing 1 of the 2 fuel pumps that went out on me a while back. While I was in the tank I replaced the fuel level sensor and I could not believe how filthy the pump filters were. The inline Fore filter was just as bad so I replaced it also. This time I completely removed the bed which made the task much easier. Next I have got to get the Nitto's replaced. I need to ease up on the throttle a bit.

I also added a temp. sensor on the discharge side of my supercharger intercooler. It's been bugging me that the hose and reservor never get hot. I believe there is a vapor lock on the intercooler coil. The guage confirms this. I've tried several things to get the air out that's causing this. I wish there was a bleeder valve on this.

Is you bed actually dangling from the engine crane? That's a Boss move.

Love the USCG approved double clamps setup.
Yes, I usally use 4 straps to the ceiling but saw this on another post so I thought I'd try it. I was nervous about it so I'll use some beefier straps next time. Hey, nothing but the best home brew parts from Lowe's. Lol! I did at lest coat the 4" PVC connectors for the filter to throttle body connection with some black "flex Pro". Thanks.

I checked the MPG since I added the FIC 1000 injectors, Demon 170 105mm TB and retune by FRP and was surprised that its getting over 24 MPG Hwy. Not bad for a Supercharged Demon LB with 37" Nitto's, 4x4, 8 speed trans Ram.

That's wild, I can barely hit 16 in mine.
Nice build!

Yes it is wild. I've manually checked it by comparing miles traveled and gallons of gas comsumed and they pretty much match. My 5.7 never went that high and the Demon not that high until I put on the FIC 1000 injectors, Demon 170 TB 105mm, Ripp coils & a FRP tune. It has 3.21 gears and while cruising around 80 mph the RPM's are right at 1500. I believe the set up as is just gets the results. Combined city/highway is most of the time 20 +/- MPG unless I do a lot of WOT pulls (mostly from others curious about it while commuting). The photo is from this morning. It's a higher milage sample that shows real time average. It was in the 20's but I was messing with a Hellcat Challenger yesterday on the way home so the MPG dipped a bit. (Hey, he started it! lol)

I have 3.21's in my itty bitty 5.7 as well. My problem is that my headers, intake, tune moved my power band up a little and 75-80 mph (around 1500rpm) feels like it's "out of the zone" now, and wants to constantly downshift on any incline or head wind. Truck feels much better and pulls small grades harder in 7th (right at 2k rpms) vs 8th now, so I usually just limit the gear to 7th. I feel a proper 392 build is in my future.
