By the way, that squeak I was hearing is gone. Sean believes it was my tire chirping into 2nd, but it sounded like it was coming from the front of the truck. At least it's gone now haha.

I have heard transmissions let off a squeak on hard acceleration and I was told it's usually ball bearings slamming into their slots in the automatic transmission(auto trans ignorant explanation, lol). I've read a lot of people believing it was the belt. Anyone know more on this.

There's a chance that what it could have been. It just had that sound of a belt going bad.

I'm not automatic transmission guy, but that's how it was explained to me before by an actual mechanic. I guess there's some bearings in the trans that flow with the fluid and plug holes or something. Curious if anyone else knows anything about it though.

Yeah I know haha. And it sounded like it was coming from the front too. But I haven't heard it the past few days, so hopefully it's settled in with the tune.

Lhemi, Sorry you are disappointed with HF tune. All I know is that my Hemifever tune was a night and day difference with my 93 Bully Dog tune (which was actually really good). And it only got better the more I drove it. After a few days it felt a little stronger than the day I put it in. Both tunes were 93 octane tunes. I know alot of this is the ole "sugar pill" affect, but it is noticeably stronger than the BD. Even my wife and two older boys say it is too. I have S&B, Edge TC (2600 stall I think), catch can, 180 TS, 85 mm PTB from Moe's, Magnaflow (24''), and always run 93 fuel. Maybe my mods are different enough to mean something. 3.55 gears with factory LSD and its a 4x4 crew cab. Stock sized tires. Can't hardly launch it in 2wd because it roasts the rear tires. Even with just a little 1000 rpm launch it spins terribly. I need my old 305s back. LOL. Truck shifts really good too. Like my Superchips in my 07 does. I also carry alot of crap in my toolboxes and under back seat etc. BTW the canned DS tunes suck. BD way better. Good luck buddy.

Coming from someone who recently tore open a Ram transmission
and gutted it like fish on the bench... I gotta call BS on that theory

Then what would make newer transmission squeak only when shifting under extreme conditions? Like floored throttle? I've heard a lot of automatic transmissions make his noise. I don't know, that's why I'm asking. It is slippage between the plates?

EDIT: I should mention this conversation with mechanic was not over a Dodge, don't even remember what vehicle it was about to be honest.

...500WHP Supercharged power, with 3000+ Stall Torque Converter.

I've never heard anything like what has been described

...unless you're talking about this:

and that was 3 years ago,
right after first I got my Trinity

I'm not sure I know what I'm looking at in this. Also, I see you post "NA" a lot. What does that stand for?

I know on the Hemi cars there was some resonance noise with some CAIs after install/tune similar to what you described.

Some were even bad enough to show phantom ST/LT knock on logs.

This squeak sounded different than the CAI sucking air at WOT. The squeak would happen right after the CAI sound. My initial thought was that the engine was cranking faster than the belt could keep up at the time of shifting. Either that or the belt was still moving at the 5,500 RPM rate and didn't slow down fast enough when the shift took place.

It isn't the CAI sucking air that I speak of.

The sound resonatoes through the CAI from the motor. The CAI is acting as an amplifier for the noise.

Take the CAI off and see if it goes away with the stock box.

Haha it was such a PITA to swap the CAI, so I think I'm just gonna keep it on lol. Also, I think I cross threaded the bolt mounting from within the box to the side of the engine bay. So I'm afraid if I take it off I won't be able to thread it back in to remount it.

Another thing about Sean, he will keep you updated on any tweaks he's found works well with these trucks as well as will adjust whatever you'd like. He didn't adjust anything with my tune either by I didn't feel it needed any tweaking. He adjusted the transmission a little but I had him revert it because I ended up liking what he set it at originally.

on the move..
