I feel you pain sir , about 15 years ago I was in your shoes similarly in a helicopter repair and Drivetrain component overhaul & repair business ....
With the above stated , I understand you are busy , hell I work 60 hours a week also .
I belive I read about you having a warranty claim on you Mevotech UCA'S after 3k miles , you then welded your stock UCAs , did you end up installing the Mevotech UCA'S again or are you still running the welded stockers with Bilsteins set @ 2.1 or 2.8 ?

Thanks for any repose !

Running prototype uniball uppers I built. Stock worked fine welded, sold the mevotechs

There is a sticky like this on the "z" forum that folks should read to the end. Sometimes, folks lives get busy and there is no malicious intent on their non communication, their just busy.

There are only two people I know of that are making these harnesses. Getupkid and Cuylertech, both are stand up guys in my opinion.

If you've been following this from the get go, you know that while you can make your own harness and the instructions are available, you have to make BULK ORDERS of all the connectors. These guys are making these BY HAND, an extremely tedious and time consuming manufacturing process and these items are in demand. Factor in their time and labor, and we are getting these harnesses for dirt cheap by US standards.

We are lucky to have anyone attempting to meet this demand. Places like OEM are not doing it because they need to clear out their stock of pricey custom bezels and $50 911 error plugs.

I guess what I'm saying is "chill out". These guys won't cheat you from what I know of them. In Cuylertech's case this is growing pains. If I'm not mistaken, he's already making arrangements to improve/speed up the manufacturing process and have these made by machine.

Back in my day, we didn't have fancy custom harnesses and had to use the 5.0/RA2 bezels on our 8.4 radios and steering wheel audio controls were not optional!!!

wow, last couple of pages, in this thread, were a trip.

For The Record -- If I EVER do Anything, for or to Anyone, on this forum, I am not too busy to respond, reply or accommodate. Nor did I forget, I am intentionally ******* You Off.

Well, maybe I forgot but I forgot solely because your Wants-Needs-Desires were simply not that important, to me, for me to remember them.

Though I promise, I will never forget my favorite Crappie Honey Holes. That kind of stuff is important.

That sounds like a problem that some of the earliest harnesses had when this mod was still in beta. If whoever built yours used the very first pinout listed on the z forum to do so, this might be your problem.

This may be too easy but I have to ask if you have the correct harness and module set up? In looking at your post, I see you have a 2013? If so did you hvac system originally have 4 speeds or 7? I believe all 2013 rams that came with the RA1 or RA@ radios have the factory 4 speed hvac set up. Also where did you get your harness from did you build it or buy it? Was it built for the 4 speed or 7 speed conversion, the pin out for the 24 pin connectors are different depending on which one you have. Also which module are you using? And if you have the factory 4 speed set up ddi you add the additional OEM harness, replacement resistor.

If you have the 4 speed factory hvac
you need
1. 68048906AA HARNESS
2. 68105017AE CONTROL MODULE
3. 68048901AA RESISTOR

I got mine from harness connections, but I think mine was just bad so i'm getting a new one. Hopefully everything will work then.

I was more reffering to the redintex who has his truck listed a 2013, but there does seem to be a few folks having problems with their harnesses.

Buying in bulk will save you some money no doubt, but all the pieces to make your own harness can be bought in small quantities. The cost to buy all the parts from mouser is peanuts really, but they do charge like 7.00 to ship, so if you wanted to order from them bulk orders do make sense albeit even connectors for different harnesses.

I believe it cost me about 20.00 to make my harness including all the pins, connectors and the wire and shipping. I made mine the full length to allow me to mount the hvac module where it belongs, instead of stuffing it under the radio.

I believe you missed the thrust of my message...

If I'm not mistaken, you were also an important part of talking this mod into reality and I would take offense to anyone that would criticize you for trying to help out as well...

Yeah I assumed, I was just giving my info as well... jsut b/c :) Cuyler has been very helpful and pretty fast responding to my emails, so I have no complaints right now with him.

CuylerTech built mine. I also think that he is a stand up guy. I have no hesitation in buying something else from him, whether there is a wiring issue with the harness or not. I too work 60-70 hours per week and balance family, etc. That was the main reason for purchasing the harness. Mainly, I have not had time to pull it apart and troubleshoot. My frustration is driving for the last 3 weeks with no a/c in Texas! He has responded about the wiring pins for a/c control.

It has to be an intermittent issue, as the a/c comes on sometimes when I hit a bump. It is a glorious minute or so!!!

I also have to still locate a mtc bezel. I ordered one mtc and one atc bezel from Schram, they sent two atc bezels. Needless to say, I will be getting rid of these.

Hopefully, by the weekend I can check the specific pins for the a/c control.

Yes, i started with the 4-speed fan. I originally ordered the module for the 7 speed. I still have it sealed in the box and ordered the right one, the 5017AE. I also got the 8901 resistor. I do have 7 fan speeds, and they are controlled fine from the touch screen. Nothing works on the atc bezel. The a/c shows as working on the touch screen. All other functions, such as max a/c, blowing to the floor, dash, defrost, etc will all work as expected on the touch screen. I may have to swap out the harness, as there are also issues with the 8 pin connector to the bezel. I will certainly contact CuylerTech privately if that becomes a necessity.

For anyone interested, I searched eBay for the part number for the resistor for the 4 speed to 7 speed conversion and happened across this:
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?nav=item.view&id=301683979495&alt=web
I ended up offering $35 and they took it, it took about 2.5 weeks to get here from China, but for those looking to save a little money and if you are not in a hurry it works great. If you read the listing it looks like Toyota used this resistor in some years of their Tacoma. So another route would be to go to a auto zone or such and see what their price would be for that year Tacoma resistor to see if it will save you any money going that route and you could have it in your hand right then.

Also, if you search Ebay under the Toyota P/N 499300-2121 or Denso P/N 87165-13010, you can find them used for as low as $19.99 and maybe lower on a "make offer".

I wish I would have known that now... Although the $15 I saved seems good enough to me I wish I could have saved more.

I was not posting it to throw it in your face. Just a FYI to others.

I just figured that out from your link posting previously as I noticed other listings of the Mopar P/N were showing both the Toyota and DENSO P/N cross reference. A little search foo on those showed me the used ones.

FWIW, I made a $17.99 offer on one of the $19.99 used listings and they took it. They may even go lower if tried.
