So I understand, I have the 5.0 I believe RA2. I am going to switch to the 8.4 RA 4 at some point, I have seen on OEM they have a bezel with a knob for radio HOWEVER if I want the nicer bezel and hopefully single zone this harness will make everything with A/C and such work?

Second as I was on your site, I have the RA2 so do I need the purple one to not get error code?

Thanks

That's correct, buy one while you can. To do this mod, refer to the first pages of this thread for part numbers. It sounds like you have a good grasp on what is necessary. The only thing I didn't here you mention is the HVAC Module that is necessary for the upgraded bezel to have full functionality.

EDIT: the purple connector to cancel the 911 errors is worth it at this price.

What is the HVAC? The basic bezel with the upgrade from OEM Parts you don't need wiring or HVAC though the bezel is basic.

Tks

The O.E.M parts bezel is no comparison to the factory bezel and is way over priced. Trust everyone factory is the way to go and not much more if any than the OEM parts once you get all your pieces...you need the harness the module and the bezel total will be about 300.00 of your truck has a 7 speed fan.... compare this to there's

Really though, just go to page 1 and ask questions after that. There is so much good information there condensed from over 200 pages on two separate forums.

We have 5 harnesses left on preorder before we are out for the next month or so, so if you're on the edge about buying a harness now, you may want to go for it.

Hey Rick, where are the screws to remove the assembly? I saw a video to screws on top and one in the whole/slot but my screws aren't exposed like the video, so before I break something can you lead me in the right direction? I have a 2014

You have two screws under the pad on top of the bezel that says RAM. Remove the pad to expose the top screws. If your truck is equiped with a 120V outlet you will have another screw in your cubby hole on the right side right above the outlet. Remove them and gently pull from the top. The whole bezel will pop off.
